My card has been charged, but no UPS tracking number that should come tonight. Upthread a call was placed to CDW and it was confirmed the devices were available and would be shipped as promised. Considering what we saw with a furniture company and Apple today saying go to stores on Friday that scenario does not seem unreasonable.My card was charged a little while ago so I hope so lol. That seems a bit sketchy. When they send you the initial charge, it normally disappears…. Especially if it’s not going to be shipped anytime soon.Not saying this as a reason to avoid this opportunity... but I've had some bad luck with CDW in the past claiming to have something in stock, charging me for it and then pushing it to "backordered" status before it ships.

Nebraska Furniture Mart is owned by Berkshire Hathaway. The same Berkshire Hathaway that owns 5% of Apple. I’m guessing they’ll get a pass or the lightest of slaps on the wrist.Good question. Similar experience for me. After I ordered I noticed the product page listing changed to 4-6 weeks. I called, they told me about a “tech hold” that the order is on but said they had one allocated and it will ship today. We’ll see if that’s true.I just got hosed on my order. I saw the email confirmation come through and was supposed to get it tomorrow (paid extra for overnight shipping).
However, I hadn’t seen my order on my account, so I called CDW to see what was going on. Come to find out my order was “on hold” then they transferred me over to sales who told me my iPad was 6 weeks out lol.
Infuriating. My only hope is to try my luck at an Apple Store Friday morning.
The NFM store doesn’t even buy directly from Apple. They use some logistics company. So not sure if had delivered there first or that company had delivered directly to NFM.The fact that we have two retailers that are shipping/selling already makes me think Apple didn't put a hold this time. Apple just had a vague "releases 2nd half of May" during the keynote anyway.

I called and the first person said they could see the order, but since I could not perhaps there was a problem even though the charge came through on my cc.Not showing up in the my account order status page. Called and verified they have 1 allocated for me. Supposedly they have 1 rep managing this and they’re releasing the orders for fulfillment. If it doesn’t show up tomorrow I’ll be calling to get expedited shipping refunded and if it turns out it’s a bait and switch with weeks out for delivery, I’ll cancel my order.
Will report back if I get tracking.

no when i called cdw early in the morning they said customers are assigned to different sales reps bc the business is commission-based(not sure what this means but whatever), so contact salesperson whoever sent you the pdf receipt. and i got confirmed once again about an hour ago that the order will ship tonight as promised, just FYI for everyone else on this thread who ordered thru hereNot showing up in the my account order status page. The next person sounded higher up the food chain then confirmed the order was placed this morning and was expected to ship out later today. I mentioned nothing was showing up in UPS app and he seemed unfazed.
At the moment, I am wondering stopping the BB said to be coming 5/21 was the best move.
maybe i got the pdf receipt bc i got 5% dc after placing an order. and no update from account manager. did the rep tell you that the order will be shipped today but it's only the delivery date that's changed? or it won't be shipped at all today?UPDATE - got an email from my “account manager” or whatever. Apple is embargoing and can’t be delivered until Friday 5/21.
