2 inches can make all the difference sometimesIs the 11 really that much smaller than the 13 for carrying around? 1.3 lbs vs 1 lbs, 13 inches vs 11. To me, the differences seem negligible.

13” is actually usable in split screen with pip running too, my 11” is not.Just been to the Apple Store again. Spent ages comparing both in various different ways.
It’s a hard no for 13” from me, however it is a beautiful screen and would make an awesome laptop replacement or device to watch video.
So that’s the thing, I mostly use mine to read the Apple News, other news subscriptions, forums, Reddit and YouTube premium.
For reading and browsing, 11” is definitely more comfortable. I get that websites render slightly better on 13” but it’s way more uncomfortable and awkward for long periods holding the 13”.
11” feels like the Mini in comparison, in a good portable sense. It’s a beauty for reading and surfing, especially one handed.
13” excels if I’m watching video in bed, which I do do, but it’s not worth the trade off for lightness and browsing experience.
It felt too big for browsing and reading. Almost silly.
Just my opinion though. Not fact.
Portability and size of 11” is the actual USP. People say bigger screen is better, but no, I feel it’s worse for browsing and reading news.
I did the same returned the 11” just got the 13”, the diff v my 11 M1 wasn’t worth it imo, 13” is another ball game all together if you can handle the size.I ended up ordering the M4 iPad Pro 11 inch 256GB WiFi to replace my 2018 iPad Pro 11 64GB. I‘ve been waiting around for a M1 or M2 refurbished 11 iPad Pro model on Apple USA, but decided to go ahead and just purchase the latest Pro model. I’ve only been on it for about an hour so far, but my initial reaction is I either wish I had gotten the 13 inch model or just not made purchase at all. At this moment it just doesn’t seem like a vast improvement over my 2018 iPad Pro 11 like I thought it would be. Definitely digging the new Magic Keyboard (I had Smart Keyboard Folio with my 2018 iPad Pro), but having hard time justifying the nearly $1,500 for iPad Pro and MK. Will wait to see what is announced at WWDC before make final decision. But with the weight reduction of the 13 inch model I’d say it’s worth giving it a try.
Ultimately I went with the 13. It’s quite nice and the MKB is way better than on the 11.I ended up ordering the M4 iPad Pro 11 inch 256GB WiFi to replace my 2018 iPad Pro 11 64GB. The Magic Keyboard is very nice. This is my fist time ever using/seeing one in person. Forgive my ignorance, but I honestly thought the Magic Keyboard would lay flat like my Smart Keyboard Folio can on my 2018 iPad Pro 11. Due to me needing it to lay flat for work on a regular basis, I may just return and go after a refurb M2 so I can utilize the Smart Keyboard Folio. I’m just not interested in carrying around a Magic Keyboard and another Folio/case.Ultimately I went with the 13. It’s quite nice and the MKB is way better than on the 11.
Both are easy to bring around. It's about the handling when using the tablet that differentiates the two.Is the 11 really that much smaller than the 13 for carrying around? 1.3 lbs vs 1 lbs, 13 inches vs 11. To me, the differences seem negligible.

Depends on the person and bag. Both easily fit in my tumi bag with plenty of room to spare but maybe only the 11 in some lady’s or guys Hermes Berkin baggie lol.Not necessarily. The 11” fits in my purses. The 13”, I’d need a bigger messenger bag or backpack.
My 13 fits in my Birkin fine 😊Depends on the person and bag. Both easily fit in my tumi bag with plenty of room to spare but maybe only the 11 in some lady’s or guys Hermes Berkin baggie lol.

Uhhh...not in anything I own...The 11" is pocketable, the 13" is not. So 11" for that reason alone.

Well, you are still able to bring them around. You can hold the 13-inch in hand to bring it around if you want to. You can also throw the 11-inch into a messenger bag or backpack. Not necessarily. The 11” fits in my purses. The 13”, I’d need a bigger messenger bag or backpack.
What do you mean lay flat. The Magic Keyboard is very nice. This is my fist time ever using/seeing one in person. Those with the 13”, do you always use with a case?
I have both the folio and MK but lately been using it as a tablet and in the folio case. I tend to use the 13 inch on my legs on sofa and watching media so I'm not really holding the device a lot in handThose with the 13”, do you always use with a case?
What about when you want to use the iPad to write something? Don't you use it flat?Mine never leaves the magic keyboard, got an iPad Mini which for me is the only iPad that is truly portable and usable for longer periods of time in your hands.
