Delivery date has changed to Monday 11th.
Thanks for the route information! I do now see it went from Zhengzhou to Incheon, where there is a delayed UPS flight leaving in about an hour, for Anchorage. That might be the flight it's on. I then also see there are flights between Anchorage and Louisville, and that is a route I've seen things on before too. I'm in Canada, so the routing my be a little different

M4 Pro 14" expected for in-store pickup today in NY - still says "Shipping to Store" and not at the "Ready for Pickup" stage yet, gave Apple a call and they said the shipment has been delayed with "the delivery date will be provided as soon as possible" on the UPS website

IIRC mine changed from preparing to ship around Monday or Tuesday of this week

Thanks @analog guy, I will check that out. Anyone else wake up to see this update at UPS as well? I knew it was too good to be true...

Mine was similar to yours. I had an end of day delivery estimate for 8 Nov -- which I assumed wasn't happening unless Apple was chartering private jets to land in my town.

I ordered mine on 2 Nov.
14 inch Macbook Pro. 16/40 M4 Max, 128gb RAM, 2tb.

My current Estimate is Monday, 11 Nov.
Current status.

For anyone curious...

14" M4 Max comparison (128GB RAM) vs my own 14" M3 Max (128GB) & 14" M2 Max (96GB... the max at the time)... [on battery/high performance enabled]

single core/multi core improvement:
M2 to M3 = ~+21% / +50%
M3 to M4 = ~+15% / +16%

OpenCL / Metal:
M2 to M3 +17% / +40%
M3 to M4 +21% / +18%

I don't have my maxed out M1 benchmarks handy.

That's a 40%/73% (sc/mc) improvement from M2 to M4. +95%/+37% for openCL/metal.

My order is still showing November 15 as the estimated delivery date, which hasn't changed since I placed it over a week back. But hey, it's already in Germany from China, so fingers crossed it might get here in Finland sooner!

A little update. Delivery delayed until Tuesday 12th. Then a short while after it's now showing Monday 11th again :D

Route was from Incheon -> Anchorage -> Louisville -> Mount Hope (Ontario Canada, basically UPS facility at John C. Munro airport).

I don't know the exact planes the devices was on, but it does look there were quite a few delays for lots of flights, so that could explain others seeing delivery time delays.

I'd like to think we'll all have the new machines by this time next week.

Ran the benchmark again:
3900 (vs the ~3540-3640 I was getting yesterday) and 26300 (vs 24300-25400).

That implies +25% single core & +25% multi-core vs the M3 Max.

I didn't take any special steps to kill all processes. Wonder if that can make a difference. Anyway.... hope everyone receives their orders quickly and is happy!

I was curious about the delivery times for a Mac Mini with M4 Pro with upgraded memory (48GB) and 10Gb Ethernet - all other specs same as the base model. Delivery dates are pushed out to 3-10 December.

Here is an anomaly I noticed. Upon reviewing the main page, it appears that the shipment is currently in China. This explanation appears plausible as a potential delaying factor. However, upon clicking on the Details page, a different information is presented. It states that the shipment has been at the UPS hub in Louisville since November 2nd. This suggests that the shipment was staged in advance and prepared for shipment. Therefore, being stuck in Louisville does not align with this information. It prompts me to consider the possibility of unforeseen events that occurred during the shipment’s temporary storage. These could include potential damage such as fire, water, or theft. If such an occurrence has transpired, it is plausible that replacement units may need to be manufactured and dispatched from China. In such a scenario, Apple would likely provide some form of communication regarding the status and anticipated timeline, beyond merely stating that the delivery may be delayed.

It's also possible that it might be taking a lot longer to break down the shipment in Louisville for re-routing, hence the delay. Plus it could be once broken down, there could be delays for the onward flights.

My package has been in Mount Hope for a couple of days. I'm not sure if that is anything to do with customs clearance , as I'm in Canada, so I do not know if there was pre-clearance in Louisville or not. I would assume as this isn't express shipping there is no delivery over the weekend, hence why it'll apparently be delivered tomorrow.

Part of me, the impatient part, would be interesting in the ability to pop down to Mount Hope and grab my package, as that would be quicker than the UPS delivery, as if it follows how prior ones have been routed, it will go to one other UPS point, before the final local one which will then deliver it to me, and total round time is maybe an hour and bit for me :D

It is odd if you have no further update on this.
My package arrived at the KY facility this morning and received an import scan a couple of hours ago. The initial ship date for me was 8 Nov.

Saw I had an email from UPS this morning about my package arriving today. Odd it had a different tracking number BUT it seemed to originate from Louisville so UPS must have reassigned them. The only other package I had coming is FedEx so it must be Apple. NOW after looking it appears that it is my Trade In kit for my iMac. :mad:Just what I f'n need is a trade in kit with no new Mac in sight.

I also received an email that it would be arriving today, last night but now it says tomorrow. Mine arrived in Louiseville, KY on Friday but the date changed this morning. Strange.

Oh, UPS, why must you tease me! My delivery was supposed to arrive today, and it reached Louisville early yesterday morning. I thought, great, it should fly out soon… but no, it’s been sitting there since. UPS just updated the delivery to tomorrow.

It looks like the only flight from Louisville to the NYC area is at 6 p.m. today, landing in Newark. So, I’ll be keeping an eye on that flight, hoping it’s on its way soon!

I'm really surprised my M4 Pro mini is already in Finland. They could have delivered it today instead of waiting till Friday, but I wasn't home so I'll pick it up tomorrow. Can't wait! Anyway, I didn't expect it to arrive four days early.

I got the same message as everyone else about delivery date changing in UPS after leaving China. UPS originally showed tomorrow, Apple originally showed next Monday. By the other responses here I’m hoping for later this week rather than after next weekend!

Just spent a wasted 30 minutes on Chat. They have no clue and say their info is that it was delivered. Supposedly Apple support is going to call me. Although the call is probably Delayed in Louisville with my Mac.

Does anyone have any magical powers for figuring out where the flights are going to from Zhengzhou, China?

The last updated info I have (which seems similar to what others have posted) is:

I did have a look at Flightaware, and did see some flight out to Anchorage, and I seem to recall I've seen that before for an iPhone shipment, but it was not a UPS flight. I would suspect once there it would transfer to an actual UPS plane (plus clearance into a different country and all that stuff). But as to where it goes from there, I don't know. I'm in Ontario, Canada, so the routing from there (if of course that was the flight my shipment was on) would likely be different from if it were going elsewhere in the US.

I have seen Mount Hope, ON mentioned on tracking info before. That's basically John C. Munro Hamilton Airport, which does have a UPS Hub, so maybe I should just look for inbound flights?

I live in Anchorage, and I can verify that a LOT of cargo flights between Asia and the US pass through Anchorage, which was the third ranked Airport for cargo volume in 2023. Both FedEx and UPS have hubs here, and we also see cargo traffic through Amazon Prime Air, Cathay Pacific, China Air, JAL, Korean Air and others. The Boeing Dreamlifter that ferries fuselage parts between its manufacturing plants also flies through here. It's not unusual to pull up Flightradar24 and see a seemingly endless parade of flights between Anchorage and Asia. One thing that's cool about the airport here is that there are several areas where you can watch both passenger and cargo planes taking off and landing, and you can get some good photos with the Chugach Mountains in the background.

The reason UPS routing goes through Louisville is because that is where UPS has their import/customs clearinghouse. It's annoying to see your package arrive in Anchorage just to head down to Louisville and back three days later.

Finely got a call and it was also worthless. Basically I wait until Thursday and then call them back (good luck with that) and they will reorder and "try" to expedite delivery. Maybe I'll get the Mac mini M5 before then.
