I'm not getting an iPad Pro. My A12 is just fine, and my Studio does the heavy lifting. Although it is starting to show signs of update poison from Apple: It just locks up for 10 seconds stretches doing things that it never had trouble with before. (Mostly playing YouTube.).

1TB. It’s complete overkill for me, for now. But I figure it will be many years before they actually improve the size/weight/display quality in as meaningful a way as they just did.

Talk to me in five years, when I’m on my third iPad since this one to remind me what a nut job I am…

It would be easier to justify upgrading if the iPad wasn't Apple's equivalent of the Energizer Bunny. They do tend to just keep working long after you'd expect it to start showing its age.

The YouTube app has had glitches on iOS and iPadOS for the last several versions now, regardless of hardware oomph.

1TB 11” here. Almost went 512GB but I opted for the extra storage. I DJ sometimes, so I’m hoping that Native Instruments make a true iPad version of Traktor Pro. Even though I have the 2TB iCloud plan, storing my audio files locally is preferred. Also, with Apple Intelligence on its way, I took a chance on 16GB RAM. I don’t care about the marginally faster processor.

512 just to have a bit more space. 256 would be enough now but going to use this device as my main for the next 3 years at least

1TB. The 256GB model of the 2018 Pro was always a bit lacking for me. I like to hoard instead of deleting and adding. And I'll pay *cough* a bit *cough* more for that. The addition of the 'extra power' which I'll not use is a nice addition.

The 2018 model lasted me a bit so hopefully this one will last even longer. Also went from 11" to 13" so size upgrading for a model that might come 1-2 years from now won't be a reason.
I fully know its overkill for my usecase but well so be it.

For iPad Pros I would always go for the 1TB model even though it is really expensive, it comes with double the RAM so should be much more future-proof against RAM hogging iPad OS updates.

In the past, my Pros have been 1TB for the extra Ram.... I am considering the 256 on the 11", mostly use it for drawing....

I think 256GB of storage is fine for people who use their tablets like regular users, just for social media, browsing, and streaming. Whether you need more storage depends on things like photos, music, games, apps, and documents. If you do need more storage, you can always transfer files to and from the cloud.

I seen a video from Max that 256 was just as good performance as 1TB, no difference in performance. Probably has a lot to do with the iOS.

I went with nano and 2tb. I tend to take lots of 4K video, so I now never need to worry about it. And if I want to put on a ton of movies for a trip, all set. For like what 400 bucks, for me, Dah

I have 2TB. I'm happy for people who live on the coasts or near cities and have the luxury of reliable, high-speed internet. iCloud becomes a simple solution to save money on storage. I live in a rural area and that isn't the case. I need to have everything stored locally and appreciate having the cellular option. If they had offered 4TB I would have bought that and cried about the price later.
