Since it's delayed, broadwell is unlikely.

So, hopefully soon, likely going to be something like i5 with iris, and i7 with Iris pro, similar price points, maybe going up by a hundred for the Iris Pro model.

Or Apple could throw a curveball and base it around AMD's new Kevari which comes out around summer.

Or you know, the ultimate Curveball. Apple Steambox.

If Iris Pro was fully utilized in OSX as Windows The Mini could be a Apple Steambox. Others are already using Iris Pro for that.

Can one of you fellows enlighten me on what a steambox is?

SteamOS is Valve/Steam's new gaming ecosystem thing. A SteamBox is a certified box that runs SteamOS. They apparently come in different configurations (with graphics running from Iris Pro on up to NVIDIA Titan).

So it's possible that the next mini could run SteamOS, but it would be a low end box, and I doubt Apple would put much effort into growing some other companies ecosystem.

Just received my third mail from Refurb.Me today, it says MacMini is available to buy from Apple Refurb-Store

Three Mac Minis in less than 12hours? Crazy, hopefully that's a sign for an update

it's not a sign for an update, it's a sign that people THINK there will be an update.

:D

both can happen.. I bet they will release the new mini during WWDC in the summer.

Pretty much any refresh is better than no refresh, if only because it gives me an excuse to upgrade a four-year-old machine.

i'm in the same boat i have the 2010 Mac mini entry release which came with 2GB RAM lol i upgraded it to 4 GB later on but still i want an SSD based new mini.

Or... because Broadwell is delayed, the mini will be delayed.

You are thinking too positively. Apple might be sitting on the mini due to how it fits into the market with ability vs. price.

So the bottom line is no one really knows when it's going to be released, right? It could really be Feb or it could very well be July or Sept, right?

Tim Cook said look for many more products coming in 2014 but we don't even know if the Mini is one of them?

I was about to buy a Mini on Amazon, but they're not currently selling any model at the moment.

I just got an email from Dell to get 30% off Optiplex 9020 i5-4570 Processor (Quad Core, 3.20GHz Turbo, 6MB, w/ HD Graphics 4600, Win 7, 8GB Ram, 500GB Drive 7200 RPM, 1GB video card, no monitor, total $850.10

I just don't know if I want to stay w/ Windows or just get the Mac Mini now. I really want to get a mini but this email is tempting me.

850$ for...

- (outdated) integrated graphics
- old operating system
- hard drive instead of SSD
- large tower case

...is a terrible deal. there are far better options in the mac and pc world.

I agree, I don't really want another mini tower. So I currently have a Dell Ultra Sharp 1907FP Flat Monitor, 19" monitor that still works and I use a DVI connector to my tower, can I use that monitor with the Mac Mini and if so would I need to buy the Mini DisplayPort to DVI connector that apple sells for $29.00? or use connector I have?
