Yeah that actually makes sense. I was only thinking of after it got wrapped.I think there's always a chance that something made it onto the pallet that was initially not tagged before being all wrapped up.

UK here.
My BTO order was scheduled for the 12th and it just got bumped up to the 8th (tomorrow).
Mine was exactly the same, but UPS has hit an exception and looks like it's stuck at Koln in Germany. Hope it gets delivered tomorrow.
It's a BTO, so it'll be coming from China, won't it? Did you order via Apple direct or a reseller?I assume that it's the 8GB of RAM or the Ethernet port that is the issue, or maybe combining both.

I already was using over 600gb of disk space after installing all of the apps, VST Plugins, loops etc. I really wanted to get away from using external drives for this. So Apple memory and storage has a price but there is also speed and convenience as well.
I am using Logic Pro. With Native Instruments ultimate and the eastwest sound cloud already stored on external There are many more plugins like the Korg legacy and other libraries that I can’t move. External storage works better with Logic Pro but it isn’t as fast as internal. We’re coming from opposite directions on this. When it became possible to separate Logic and its samples/loops a few weeks ago, I had the latter (they’re 50-60GB these days) on an external drive within hours of the announcement
Which Digital Audio/VST Workstation are you using?
That should be just a matter of the type + connection. If you plug a high-end NVME SSD into a TB3 port you should get very high speeds, but you'll have to pay for it.but it isn’t as fast as internal
