I don't understand why 666mhz marks me when I am 1333mhz
[automerge]1577978972[/automerge]
should i perform pram and smc reset?
[automerge]1577979236[/automerge]
in the status bar I can monitor 2 temperatures and 1 fan, which do you recommend to set as the most important to always keep an eye on?
diode A, diode B, Average Rpm

Thanks for the help you give me :)

No that is just a mistake by the program. The first post you made today showing your system "About This Mac" screenshot clearly shows your ram at 1333mhz. The system sees it just fine as it is no reset needed. If worried about heat, as I usually am, I would go for the hottest CPU to keep an eye on. But really it will only be while under heavy load you need to watch, then once you see how it behaves you will worry less about it.

Edit: Oh, Congratulations on getting your new system up and running.

thank you very much MacUser2525
now I'm waiting for wifi and bluetooth
but I would also like to enhance other, usb 3 type and above all gigabit ethernet that supports ADSL fiber, but I don't really know what to orient myself :(

You are welcome. It merged and did not see the last couple questions when you wrote them. The USB 3 on here is a large thread for the various cards you should be able to find to choose from. For the ADSL and gigabit it should work with the built in network cards there are two of them.

integrated network cards you mean the standard ones on the mac pro? because I connected the lan cable, but it only supports 100base tx and not 1000t, I don't find it so responsive in opening web pages, compared to the standard wifi

Your two network ports on the rear are gigabit (1000Gbps) Ethernet. Make sure you use a Cat5E or Cat6 patch cable (and a gigabit capable Ethernet switch/hub if you use one) to get the best out of those network ports. If your router or a Ethernet switch/hub is only 100Gbps then that’s all you get out of your LAN and WAN.

As the other poster mentioned make certain you have the proper cables a cat 5e or better. There can also be times when it does not get it correct when negotiating the speed. Go to the System Preferences -> Network -> Advanced and manually set it to get the full speed. Then renew the DHCP lease by hitting that button (in the TCP/IP tab) and see if you get the proper speed.

above all I ran greenbench, and I got a very low score .. 664 single core, 6119 multi core

remove the DIMMs in slot 4 and 8 and you will have a better performance
the cMP is triple channel and slot 3+4 and 7+8 sharing the bus.

so it will be faster with 96GB of RAM

the internet system is made up as follows:
from the modem router I go out with the 4 lan cables (s / ftp cat.7 26awg.4p 30cm long) and enter the 4 wall sockets intenet system with jack keystone modul cat 6a rj45 + cables through the walls cat.7 s / ftp awb 100ohm shielded, which comes out in 4 rooms, about 4 meters in the office, always on jack cat 6a rj45
where then we connect the mac pro with cable s7ftp cat.7 26awg 4p 3 meters long
[automerge]1577997465[/automerge]
thanks indiox;) tomorrow I try testing by removing as you say ram 4 and 8 and I run greenbench again

is a router given by the company that provides me with internet and has 4 gigaethernet ports and 2 dual band wifi, but I entered the router and saw this ... I attach photos.
I only connected cMP to port 2, but it scores 100mbs

Yes they are gigabit ports for certain if they were not then the option to set the speed to 1000t would not appear. Just keep it set to the manual to force it to connect at that speed.

That does seem strange make sure the cable is proper, when looking at it you should see some small numbers with the cat 5e or cat 6 written on it. Everyone is labeled to tell you what type it is, if it is not the proper one it will need to be replaced. Everything in the connection needs to support the 1000t if not then it will not get a proper speed.

yes on the cables I confirm that there is written as I said a few posts above. I don't want any of them to be ... fake!
I can only try to replace the short one that comes out of the roter and goes into the wall socket to spread to the apartment

for the moment the change in network settings is fantastic :) upload photos in 4k - 8k in google images quickly;)

With the USB Add-In Card make sure you buy a 4-lane card PCIe 2.0 (x4)..

GOOD: HIGHPOINT U1144 is fine (probably one of the best still available)
GOOD: Caldigit FASTA is awesome but difficult to find (no longer in production)

BAD: Inateck 4004 is rubbish - avoid this and ALL 1 lane cards at all cost

SONNET has a good range BUT eliminate any candidate that is PCIe 2.0 (x1) this is strictly the domain of amateurs.

If you are budget constrained - go for a card that connects at PCIe 2.0 (x2)

PS - I'd go for a 2.5" Crucial MX500 SSD as my boot drive in BAY 1.

There are lots of problems with PCIe slot-hosted boot drives (SATA-based or PCIe-based).

Despite having my cMP PCIe slots filled with NVME and AHCI PCIe SSDs (Fusion-io Enterprise SSD + Angelbird WINGS 2TB AHCI SSD + Samsung 970 Pro NVMe PCIe SSDs - all capable of 2000MBps RW), I recently bought 2x 2.5" Crucial MX500 SSD (1TB) to stick in the BAYS as BOOT VOLUMES because everything just works. Bootcamp - YES, OSX Yosemite - YES, OSX High Sierra - YES, sub 60 second boot times - YES.

honestly I'm not too prepared on pcie and various internal connections ...
the next step is a 4-seat usb 3 - 3.1 pcie card that is not too expensive (I have seen many from china on ebay) from the usa to italy it costs too much in shipping and taxes .... (always said that I had to be born in the U.S.A.)
and maybe a ssd or nvme pcie card, to move crucial ssd from slot 1 to motherboard, to speed up further (they tell me I wouldn't get any improvements) better a nvme pcie

lastly i will get an amd video card

If you are getting good upload speeds then it could be a bad reading in the router too. Go to some place like https://www.speedtest.net/ and run a test or two to see what your results are. If they are good then your network is working fine.

Not really the memory chips could even be from the same plant with just a different name on them. There are not that many manufacturers of memory so the chips all come from the same source most times just a different brand on them.

You do well then you get over that speed on the download. I am spoiled I have been on fiberoptic connection for the last few years. I am supposed to get 500 mb/s up and down. In reality the last test I did I got 400/100 up/down, still plenty fast for me as nowhere you can download will send it to you at that high a speed anyways.

I forgot, the vendor of the ram offers me to replace them with identical but instead of hynix mi from micron, but I have to pay for the shipping and wait for the relative waiting times.

Do you think it's worth it? Maybe Micron are better.
I did tests with TechToll Pro and the rams are perfect, but if the Micron were the same, the changes would be better

No need to do that you will be fine with what you have, it gets recognized properly at its rated speed and works.

Hi guys, I wanted to ask you two info:
One how come after activating the new fiber internet line, with the mac in ethernet and wifi, I travel down 94.7 and up 20.2, while if I run tests with iPhone I travel down 166 and up 21, how come?

Second question, I purchased an internal 5.25 hd / ssd support and inserted 3 hd, instead of the second dvd player, which cables do I need to make them work?

but a curiosity, what is the difference in terms of performance between a 2.5 "ssd on a pci-e card and a m.2 nvme pcie of 1 tb .... same brand? read and slip identically
[automerge]1576530886[/automerge]
over all, in a few days the processors arrive and I have not yet purchased the thermal paste and the products to clean the heat sink ... I am confused about the best in circulation

There's also a large difference in IOPS . For a lower end NVMe M.2 PCIe drive ( Intel 660p ), it'll have maybe 2 times the IOPS of a mid range ( Samsung 860 EVO ) 2.5" SATA SSD . These are consumer drives ... Higher IOPS make for a faster boot device .
