In the following thread you can find information regarding UPS flight currently flying out from HKG to Anchorage, and then things are shipped to the continental US:

That gave me some hope, until I found that another poster stated that those packages that have been at HKG since the 4th without a movement may be lost, as per UPS:

So we may all have to start calling UPS International, and Apple. :(
UGHH what a total mess this is. I see some orders shipped a couple days after mine that made it through customs to Anchorage. WHAT THE HECK

Thanks esmithcreative, I saw that a few days ago on the UPS site but I was wondering if it was having an effect on what is happening in Hong Kong. Zhejiang, the closest province is 500 miles (800 kms) north of Hong Kong. But it is certainly a possibility.

Here is an article regarding Hong Kong, published yesterday. It seems that airlines are staying away from the city at this time, which may also affect our shipments, although I would think that UPS is using cargo planes.

Apple still sees the computer arriving this Friday, 4/15. Ah, the beauty of everything being fully automated.;)
Yea no chance. I'm on a chat with Apple Support right now and they are ZERO help. From the support person: "Thank you for being so patient with me. I really appreciate your time. I can see the order is on the way. However, based on the carrier records, we have a delay reported. I'm truly sorry about it, I have personal experience with late deliveries, and I know how frustrating this situation could be. As far I can see, the estimated time for delivery is 04/15/2022."

Thanks for the news. I'm on hold waiting for uPS International at the moment. I'll report when/if they have some more information.

UPS used to be one of the best delivery services in the US, but now they are one of the worst. Their tracking information is cryptic or non-existent. And they want you to pay a monthly fee for better tracking information. With Amazon I get good service when they deliver their own packages. But whenever I get things delivered via UPS, which is the carrier Apple uses, it is always a crap shoot, and it usually takes longer than what they promised.

I rarely have a problem with UPS and don't see any issue with their tracking. In fact, I've experienced about the same level of all-around service between UPS, FedEx, USPS, and Amazon.

When people complain about specific carriers, it reminds me of when people try to stereotype driver cars. Some people will say "typical BMW driver", others will say "typical Maxima driver", others will say "typical Mustang driver" or "typical Jersey driver" etc. etc. until every make/model and location is eventually covered, lol! The obvious reality is there are bad drivers of every type of vehicle in every state. I think the same applies to carriers. People have had bad experiences with every one of them out there, but in the end I don't really believe any of the major ones are really that much different on average.

I just talked to a UPS rep from the International Shipping division. He said that he has seen delays of up to 2 weeks recently. He also said they had delays due to international shipping with Asian countries with difficulties going through borders, and that a security check had to be done on my shipment. According to him the security screening has been done and passed, and I should see an update on the tracking page within 2 days. I specifically asked if he though the package may be lost and he answered a definitive "no".

Let's all keep our fingers crossed.

Not sure if it helps at all but my Studio was hung up for a few days at Chek Lap Kok (7th-12th) and was delivered today.

It seems that things may be moving. Although the shipment is still at Chek Lap Kok, the status on the UPS site has changed from "One the way, delay, delivery date unknown" to "Estimated delivery, Friday April 15 between 11:45 A.M. - 3:45 P.M.". I have some doubt about a Friday delivery, but the horizon is looking a little brighter.

Looks like the UPS representative was correct.

Good luck to everybody else.

So I just went back and checked tracking on my UPS app and it changed back to an actual date from the “DELAYED”. Still says it’s in Hong Kong though. So no change it’s here by friday.

After my previous post I looked at Avoidperil tracking in detail, and it looks like we may get the shipments by Friday. That would make for a nice weekend.

That would me amazing. Evidence for thinking these aren’t still stuck in customs? Beciase UPS still says mine hasn’t left Hong Kong

There will be a UPS flight later in the afternoon, Hong Kong time. That's when I hope they will fly out of China. They are 13 hours ahead of us here in the Midwest, 12 hours from you in Ohio. If not Friday, it will be Monday, but this norning I thought it was lost and that the refund/repurchase process was going to be started next week, so I am feeling a lot better tonight.

This does help because I just got this message which mirrors your message up to the point of package is delayed in transit.

I had that line about the delay in transit also, but then the computer left HK and is now in Taiwan. Things are moving, and it seems that we may all get our deliveries within a few days now.

Ordered March 9 with April 7 - April 14 delivery date.

I posted in the other shipping thread, but thought it made sense to share here as well.

The update today on the 14th doesn’t show any actual movement since the 8th when it arrived in Chek Lap Kok.

I do watch the news and know that they have lockdowns in some cities, especially in Shanghai where they were not even allow to go out for food until a few days ago. But this should not stop UPS/Apple to update the tracking system to keep us informed. And the subject of this thread has nothing to do with Foxconn, because our computers were already out of the factory.
