what i've been waiting for :)

added 2 other new reviews as well

EDIT:

looks like Anand got both Samsung panels:

"There are at least two different panel vendors in the new Airs, both of my Airs used panels from the same company though:

LTH133BT01A03
LTH116AT01A04

It's quite possible that users with a different panel could have a different experience than what I've published here."

He has his hands on one with LG panel as well. Expect an update in a few days.

But they still gave it a very respectable 8/10. If you want Apple hate, just read the comments. The anti-Apple trolls are out in force.

Always are. But the Engadget review is full of snarky childish comments that provide no value. I don't know if they are catering to the kids in the comments section or what but it is Engadget so you can't expect much. Anandtech's reviews are the gold standard for me.

FYI, radiohead14, Anand says he is going to be posting an update to his MacBook Air review sometime today with additional testing performed on an 11" i7 model.

I don't think so, since his Twitter just said the 11" i7. I don't know if he received a review unit or just borrowed someone's.

I think Anand buys the units because he keeps them. I don't know is this because of Apple or him but at least he doesn't give them back (review units must be sent back after certain amount of time). Either way, I think the i7 unit is not Anand's but a borrowed one.

thanks man. i'll keep an eye out. just checked right now and it doesn't seem to be posted yet. i wonder if he's done the display panel test already as well.

oh and off-topic question, but hopefully you guys could tell me:

how come when safari is in full screen.. i can't gesture out to the desktop? am i missing something or is this just not an option right now?

thanks guys! :)

funny how the new Airs get more battery life on Macworld's tests than previous models.

it's also great to finally put an end to the panel debate, and i'm glad to have the Samsung panel, as the vertical angles are already not that great. i'd rather take the extra vertical viewing angle than contrast, as contrast can be adjusted.
