MacBook Air M1: silver or space grey?

I have the space Gray and love it. But I already have a few dings. I think the silver is more durable

Silver collects the same dings as Space Gray, and when you know about them you will also see them every day.
For third party they may be more visible on SG though (if this matters for you).

I used a silver for almost a decade and could only see a few scratches on it. It's not the same!

My new M1 seems to have a slightly darker shade of silver compared to my MBP 2015. So no champagne color there.

Whatever is cheaper these days tbh Already had 3 MacBooks in the last 5 years Space Grey so... I don't mind the Silver

The Gold option is actually rose gold. I chose gold and got rose gold. It is a beautiful color and yes I am a proud male carrying it around

It's more of a copper colour than rose gold: easy to see the difference next to a rose gold Macbook.

I intended to get a Space Grey M1 MacBook Air but when it came down to it I chose Silver. I stick with silver a lot so maybe I'll try space grey in future purchases.

Literally 70% voted Space Grey when I set a poll up on Instagram, but I still went with Silver. Not only does it look cleaner, it also doesn't show as many scratches, smudges, hand oils, dirt etc. A couple of people who'd gone with Space Grey DMed me on Instagram saying they regret it since it's dull and the novelty wears out in a year.

Also, silver destroys evil (vampires, werevolves, etc).

I ordered the Space Grey last weekend before I saw this thread. Was considering canceling and reordering a Silver. I received it today and when I opened the box it looked like Silver in the bright sunlight. It's much lighter than the 2018 Mac mini and iPad Space Grey. The box and order confirmed Space Grey. It looks and runs great.

I only wish that the Apple stickers were Space Grey so it would show on my Silver car.

Looking at the reviews at Costo's web site there are more on the Gold 8/256 than the Silver or Space Grey.

The Space Grey ones definitely come with stickers in Space Grey.
Indeed the Space Grey looks like a lighter grey in the light (due to reflection), but in the shadow it looks really dark.

Thank you, the stickers are definitely darker, I hadn't noticed or compared them. The shade of Space Grey on the MacBook Air M1 is beautiful.
