Don't go by the images, plus they are most likely electrically equivalent and just a revision in model numbers, but they should be identical as far as the machine is concerned.
Do any AC networkcard fit in a 13" macbook pro early 2011?

No, not without my adapter board. To my knowledge no one else has tried to make any either.
Do you sell that part? And ship to Sweden?
What's the consensus on the best method to get AC to work with a rMBP? Entire reinstall of the OS? I saw some comments about deleting the networking .plist.
You don't need to reinstall the OS. This is what I think you need to do:
I believe that you'll only need to delete the 'NetworkInterfaces.plist' file since that is the only plist I found that contains the Broadcom chip model reference in it.
Shut down your computer and do a SMC and PRAM reset.
Possibly do a disk permission repair after everything else is done.
Yep buying the late 2013 802.11ac wifi card will work with 2012 and early 2013 MBPr.
Works fine with 10.9.2 installed on my early 2013 MBPr.
One thing to note though, bootcamp, need to extract the Broadcom driver from the late 2013 Bootcamp and install that.
Honestly most people will not need it.
(I have a 802.11ac router so it's nice for local area file copying without using ethernet)
Can someone upload late 2013 Broadcom driver for Bootcamp? Thanks!
Out of interest, does the wifi network selection work in the boot up screen (where you can select the drive to boot up) after replacing the card?
Strangely, it doesn't work for me. It doesn't show any Wifi networks and you can't manually enter it either. Why would that be?
From what I've deduced, it seems that when it boots up it uses the wifi driver that's associated with the mac model (hardcoded or something) instead of dynamically detecting it real-time. It's probably the same reason why the AHT fails for the wifi as well (at least that's what I remember reading). Correct me if I'm wrong.

Hi, I don't think you read all my posts however; it's not possible unfortunately because the cMBP doesn't recognize the WiFi card/adapter board.
Sorry i missed that, i thought the problems where only the cables!
But the old connector is also a PCIe version isn't it?
Sorry guys, I've unfortunately come to realize that the antenna connectors on the cMBP are too large to be used with the new rMBP 802.11ac cards. I feel like I got so close to finishing the project, yet failed. This would've been an excellent Kickstarter. I even spent the time on developing an adapter board. Feel free to chime in.

What's the difference between the BCM94360CSAX and the BCM94360CS cards that are on ebay? It looks liek the BCM94360CS (non AX) are advertised for the 13 inch retina macbook pros while the BCM94360CSAX is for the 15 yet they look identical.
The BCM94360CSAX are almost twice as expensive as the BCM94360CS...

Finally it's possible to upgrade the old unibody MBP to Bluetooth 4.0 and 802.11ac, with the Ucard 4 from Quickertek http://quickertek.com/products/Ucard.html
