Did anyone else see the report by appleinsider about the MBP's?

It seems to me that there will be a speed bump, along with an increase in video card (obviously). I forsee SR with the LED screen in the 15" model and hopefully a better screen in the 17" (although it won't be LED, :( ) I personally don't think it will be this Tuesday. Apple is full of surprises, so, would anyone put it past them to postpone the back to school specials for a week? To me it makes sense that they would wait, but seeing how I'm no expert on Apple and haven't been following their history, it's really just my own logic and opinion here.

All I know is I'm getting a little sick of waiting and want a computer before I end up spending this $4,000 I'm sitting on. :p

Oh, and for the record, the easiest date format is 05 Jun 07 or even better 05 June 2007.

Another good piece of evidence to substantiate rumors:

The base model MBP (2.16GHz Core 2 Duo) is now down to $1600 refurbished, whereas I'm fairly sure it wasn't 20% a few weeks ago. I could be wrong, though =p

They're already late this year and the graduation season is rapidly coming to a close. Summer is a huge sale period for Apple hardware to new students. The rebate center is in my state and it still takes weeks to get a rebate back. It wasn't like that in previous years.

macbook pro and multitouch

What are the chances that this update is just to get rid of any current laptops Apple still has in their inventory, as in... this case and stuff so as to make way for newer ones at Leopards release?

Is there any possibility Macbook Pros will see multitouch when leopard comes out?

I just purchased a MBP this morning but now I'm having doubts and may cancel my order. But, I have the feeling if they do put multitouch capibilities into Leopard it will only be for imacs at first. What about it, fellas?
