The pictures need to be taken with everything being the same or you can not make an accurate comparison.

Here are the updated pics that I promised.

Only way I had to compare screens I'm afraid. The 1st MBP is in front, the 2nd is behind it.

No idea why it's fisheyed like that, but thats the new screen up close

...and the new screen from my normal sitting distance

I'm still stunned what a difference there is in the screens. It's like night and day.

Yeah I know I wish I had room to do a side by side. I'd take more but it's already packed up to go back to Apple.

I've looked at both pictures side by side and I can see a clear difference. The first clearly has the yellow visible and the second screen is perfect. Congrats on that MBP. Now go and enjoy it!

its an LCD not a CRT NONE of them will be "perfect",

any piece of hardware is bound to have some defect

LCDs paticurally the backlight could bleed, pixels could be stuck or dead, this is just the risk you take buying this type of hardware

Apologist BS. Why should one accept the Samsung crap until others get good LG screen machines for the *same* 2000-2500USD.

Well, no one should accept a bad screen, but we can't say that all Samsung screens are bad. There are far more mbps in the world than there are posters on these forums. What a few complain about can't be used as an accurate guage into the world of QA. However, like many, I demand that for a $2000 machine, I'd better be satisfied. If I'm not, I will not rest until I am, or I've been given my money back (however, I've had no issues with my screen:cool:).

PS, G. I., you need to learn how to multi-quote your posts.

Hmm I don't think the original was that bad.

Here's an interesting game.

Below are two pictures of screens on a MacBook Pro. I swear that I did not photoshop either one or manipulate it. Do they represent pictures of the SAME MacBook Pro or different ones?

And please, don't view the info of these pictures and say oh they're from the same or from a different camera etc. Let this be a real test.
