Bummer!!!
I ordered mine (16g 3g ATT) on launch day around 5pst and was told a 2 week delivery.
The sales rep stated something like " A lot people are after the att 3g models so those are going to take a bit longer."So, I'm still waiting!
I think they only get some models, and not a lot to be honest. i ordered just a black wi fi model on launch day. they told me on the order day it would be 1 week. now, the story is, uh maybe april 4 shipment in 2 weeks.
Interestingly, when i do a new order they tell me april 4 as well. so basically they don't actually know and just tell people about two weeks.
the tax savings are nice, but i'd have been better off just ordering from apple
I ordered the same one on 3/13 and mine's backordered as well...They said it should "ship by wednesday, but if not, then next possible point is mid-April"
place one wifi 16gb white on 3/11 around 4pm PST, received it yesterday 3/18, sold it last night for a little profit.
place another order on Wednesday, a wifi 16gb white, expecting one week of backordered, and another Att 3g 32gb white, expecting 3 weeks of backordered. (these are for family member)

Yeah, It'd suck to wait that long!
I hope it ships out this week though, and they said that for the delay they've upgraded me to 2 Day Air shipping for free!
the key is the right reseller that get's good quantities. macconnection for whatever reason just does not get quantities from apple and they don't give out accurate info
I've always had a good experience w/ Mac Connection. What resellers typically get larger quantities of stock?
Am getting mine from MacMall .... on 3/18 the rep said they are expecting about 5,000 of each model on or before the end of March. Rolled the dice and said wth, and I placed an order. The rep said their warehouse is in Memphis and they will ship from there ... that's also the main hub for Fed Exp.
Wow, just got an update from MacConnection...saying the order "Won't ship by Wednesday after all..." and that it'll ship "first week or mid-month April"
yep. i ordered first day and the agent basically said it will be another few weeks at best. Just not a place to order Ipads-- Apple cut their allocation down for some reason.
MacConnection is not reliable from my past experiences and with the limited quantities of iPad even Apple is selling I doubt MC will be any better.
Remember Apple is only selling 10-30 units per day and they haven't had any AT&T 3G models lately.
I'm sure Apple will fill their own orders before selling to any other shops.

16GB Wifi - Black on 3/13. If yours has been backordered for a while, ask them about free upgrade to "2nd Day Air" shipping.
My blue polyurethane smart cover hasn't shipped yet (backordered) and they're expecting 3/22 - 4/1 shipment on that. Ironic how i get the ipad 2 before the cover whereas for so many its the other way around!
Same here, ordered launch day around 3pm PST. 32gb AT&T white, and I called today and she said it would ship "early April". What? If I had known that I would have just ordered from Apple.com. The person who took my order said, should ship in about a week.

Just received shipping notice from Macconnection that my 16g black iPad 2
shipped yesterday via UPS 2nd day air at no additional charge. I ordered it
on 3/13. They originally told me it would ship in two weeks. Thank you
Macconnection for coming thru. Your the best. I have been buying frrom
them for about 6 years. No sales tax (Calif) or shipping charges. You all should
be receiving yours shortly.
