Machookup: AirPods stock alerts

Bummer. But hundreds of notifications went out today, so Houston shouldn't be far behind.
 
Got an alert, and like an idiot paused to think if I really wanted to travel across town. The decision was made for me. All gone within seconds.

I made a reservation back when iPhone 7 launched (launch day actually) at my local premium Apple reseller, and was #20 in line. Today I get a text from them saying my order was ready. Damn! Christmas finally arrived for me!

As it happens, they work fricken great too. Very happy (although the dent in my bank account is quite noticeable, ugh. Well, that was expected, so I can't complain.)

I missed out earlier, but not long after got a second alert and now my goods are ready for pickup! I'll still have to fight Houston traffic and drive to the Galleria and back. But at least I'll be wearing AirPods when I hit the gym tonight. :cool:

In case anyone is curious, I'm in Los Angeles and hadn't seen any notifications until yesterday, when I finally got a text at 10:47am! Very exciting to see it come in, even though I had already managed to order AirPods from VZN the day before. The notification itself is awesome, but the information was sadly a bit disheartening for anyone in this huge metro area: the only Apple Store with AirPods in stock, after none being avail anywhere for over a week, was in Manhattan Beach. Kind of surprised that The Grove, Beverly Center, 3rd St Promenade, Pasadena, Glendale Galleria, Americana, Sherman Oaks, etc are getting shafted.
 
Notification received, order placed, 3 hour round trip to pick up :(, 5k on the elliptical. Thanks!

Was able to pick up a pair today. The Apple sales person said they sold 10 so far today, and there were about 3 or 4 people after me picking theirs up as well.

Wasn't planning on buying Airpods. Signed up for the alerts on a whim. Kept getting alerts but not at my closest store so resisted. Lo and behold today got an alert at my preferred location and my order went through. Picked up within two hours. Thanks a lot, I think :D
 
First two notifications on 1/4 pairs slipped through my fingers in seconds
Next notification on 1/5 nailed it with apple store app on iPhone. Enjoying them now :)

Hey OP, thanks for your wonderful portal. Stocks started opening up in Europe earlier today morning starting with France, Italy, Germany and then Netherlands before my patience ran out :). Got an alert from your portal, booked, picked up and now on my way back to work, listening to music on my new airpods. I love it. Thanks, man!

Been dry of airpods since launch day in Australia wish we could see when stores are actually getting stock of the airpods
