Hi, Can I know how you download 10.12.3 manually? any link for the download?
10.12.3 can be downloaded directly from the App Store right now
[doublepost=1489497423][/doublepost]
i've download manually but it say the Software is not supported on yr system.
You have to make a modified boot usb. Per the 1st post of this thread. If you just try to open the app it will say that because, well, you are trying to install macOS on an unsupported mac

I can verify that on 2007 iMac running the latest 10.12.4 Beta 6 (16E189a) iSight started working again. I now feel complete. lol.

Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has yet solved the iMac early 2008 (7,1) cannot adjust volume issue? There's also an annoying clipping noise every ~1 second when you play audio, probably related to the same thing (driver incompatibility with old hardware I'm guessing).

Very happy with the Sierra update apart from this annoying issue - if I can solve it I will be complete. Otherwise I may need to roll back to the last OSX release so it works again (as the wife listens to music on this machine). That would be really frustrating as I already upgraded the CPU, RAM and wireless card to be Sierra-ready!

Cheers

Well, from the number of people that been having problems, I'm wondering if @foxlet 's server isn't having some issues. (heh...think he may regret setting that up in the first place) :)

There's actually a rewrite in the way to support 10.13, so seed updates are interrupted in the meanwhile. It should (hopefully) solve most people's problems.

Hello, I have a Mac Mini running 10.12.2. Is it possible to install OS X Server on this computer. Could I erase the drive, install OS X Server, and then restore my files from a back up?

OS X/macOS Server is now an application on the Mac App Store (has been since Lion). Just download it from there, and it should work perfectly fine. Keep in mind it costs $20.

i'm still stuck at 10.12.4 beta ( 16E163F) . i know i need to download 10.3 inorder for me to download the next update. i've been using AUSEnabler all along till now i'm stuck. can someone be kind enough to guide me through and also provide me with the download link. thank.

Is there any way to install a kext from El Capitan for the wifi card, so I can get working wifi on Sierra? I know that rootless was added after El Capitan but it seems like it still might be possible. I have an iMac 8,1. I don't wanna open up the Mac to put in a new card because iMacs especially are a huge pain to open up.

MacOS Server has not been a separate OS since Lion, it is now an app which installs the sever components into your existing OS. Just search for "MacOS Server" on the Mac App Store.

I don't think so, unless someone has found a way to get the kexts from El Capitan working in Sierra (haven't been to this thread in a while).

Hey All

Sadly I have run into a problem which appears to be privilege related issues - see verbose output when building the USB via the patcher after it shows Complete!

Code:
/dev/disk1 GUID_partition_scheme
/dev/disk1s1 EFI
/dev/disk1s2 Apple_HFS /Volumes/OS X Install ESD
chown: /Volumes/OS X Base System/Library/Extensions/LegacyUSBInjector.kext/Contents/Info.plist: Operation not permitted
chown: /Volumes/OS X Base System/Library/Extensions/LegacyUSBInjector.kext/Contents: Operation not permitted
chown: /Volumes/OS X Base System/Library/Extensions/LegacyUSBInjector.kext: Operation not permitted
cp: cannot overwrite directory /Volumes/OS X Base System/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/OSInstaller.framework/Resources with non-directory /Users/Despina/Desktop/macOS Sierra Patcher.app/Contents/Resources/OSInstaller.framework/Resources
cp: cannot overwrite directory /Volumes/OS X Base System/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/OSInstaller.framework/Versions/Current with non-directory /Users/Despina/Desktop/macOS Sierra Patcher.app/Contents/Resources/OSInstaller.framework/Versions/Current

If I try to boot off the USB it starts to load but then shows the prohibited symbol. Wondering what is preventing the patcher from performing the required commands to change and updates the folders and files. I even tried to disable SIP via the recovery partition but same output errors. I believe I have followed dosdude1 guide and even grabbed the mega.nz file too..

Is the patcher failing to elevate the correct privileges to write to the folders and update the kext? Can I manual overwrite them if the installer cannot gain the correct privileges?

What am I doing wrong?

Thanking you in advance
Cheers

Hey All

Update - finally got it working and my issues was the copy of the Sierra install was corrupted

Once I was able to find a new source to grab it without MAS I redone the whole process as dosdude provided and it worked without a hitch

The errors still occurred and showed the same output in the Mac Patcher but I have now finally got to version 10.12.X

Thanks to all the talented people who share their skills and knowledge..respect!

Is anyone else getting those errors? The operation appears to be complete, but then when I try to boot through USB, it gives me the prohibition icon. I already have disabled SIP, but no success. Would very much appreciate any help. Thanks!

Those errors are normal, and shouldn't cause any issues. What machine are you using? And at what stage does it show the "No" symbol (right after selecting the boot drive or after showing the Apple Logo for a bit)?

Hey, thanks for the reply.
I have a Macbook Pro mid 2009 running El Capitan, and the prohibition symbol appears to me right after hitting enter at the USB, so no Apple logo. What do you think it could be happening?

I have two screenshots that might help you identifying the issue. I'm not an expert, but when i run diskutil list command, it shows me that my USB drive is located at disk1, but when running macOS Sierra patcher, it appears that all the action happens at disk3. I hope this info can help you. And thanks.

That's just listing the disk containing the macOS Sierra installer files (mounted InstallESD.dmg from the Sierra App). Once the patcher finishes, boot the drive, and hold "Command + V" while selecting it on the boot menu. It should show you a black screen with text. Let me know where it hangs.

Actually I've just managed to install macOS Sierra, I just ignored those warning messages that were given on macOS Sierra patcher, and the first time I got the "no" symbol, so I tried again and it worked like a charm, and everything seem to be working just fine, I'm just a little bit concerned about updating. I hope this process goes without any trouble. Thanks a lot for the support, you did a great job with this tool.

Hello,

Have you tried using an AirPods with your Macbook 5,1 upgraded to 10.12, will it work?

Thank you

Installation went just fine, and everything is working, except for every time I close the lid Wi-Fi disconnects from the actual network, and I have to connect it manually, although it doesn't ask for wifi password everytime. Anyone got a solution to that?

Hi all,

I recently picked up a Mac Pro 3,1 that I hope will let me retire my 1,1 model, to run 10.12. It's bone stock 6GB/250GB SSD/ATI 2600XT graphics, no wifi yet.

I'm trying to install the dosdude patch on a 27" 2011 iMac with a fresh, verified download of 10.12.3, latest dosdude patch, good 8GB USB stick that I've used to install many an OS X version. I'm coming up with the same errors as others have posted in the last page. Installs OK with the LecacyUSBinjector error, boot off USB on the Mac Pro ... boots up with a progress par ... and "no" symbol a couple of minutes later. I've tried to rebuild the USB several times.

Any tips? Thanks for making this a possibility.

JB

If you're currently running mac OS X El Capitan you should try disabling SIP. I've been told these sequence of errors are pretty normal, and shouldn't stop you from installing macOS Sierra, but I have disable SIP anyway, and then i've rebuilt the USB Drive again, and got the same errors, but it was possible to install it anyway.

Thanks, I'll try that - yes I'm running 10.11 on my iMac 27" still which is where I'm trying to install the dosdude patched version of Sierra. I'm also currently downloading the older Sierra installer from dosdude's site ... slowly.
