Everybody, I'm currently working on a new tool that automates the process of patching and installing macOS Sierra on unsupported Macs. Should be finished in the next day or so.

I installed it from a MBA. Then tried parrotgeek1's script, it didn't work. Tried installing the beta kexts to the Sierra partition, doesn't work. My machine is MacBook5.1. How to make USB work?

Could macOS Sierra be installed on the older unsupported macs? for example iMac 5,1 or Macbook 4,1?

No because their graphics are completely unsupported by OS X. There were never any 64bit drivers written. Those also have a 32bit EFI so even if you could install Sierra it requires more hacking, like the MacPro1,1/2,1. The difference with those is you can upgrade the GPU.

This won't happen for a while since we are focusing on supported Macs right now. @dosdude1 gave me an idea to solve the SIP issue with the unsigned kexts without rewriting the Bootloader. I would still need time to makes some changes to the USB Kexts and Graphics Kexts to get it up to the Yosemite quality performance (without Graphics Acceleration) we have now with MCPF and OSXE.

Those models have 64bit architecture they just don't have it graphics wise since Apple dropped the kexts in OS X 10.6.2.
I am working on a 64bit driver for the X3100 for Yosemite.

The rest can be done with 64on32
:) Hey, Small world.

You are correct, it does. The iMac mentioned does not. Still need graphics drivers though.
That is true. My iMac 6,1 (24" version of 5,1) can run El Capitan with the same boot.efi replacement the Mac Pro 1,1 requires, but the issue is graphics. There are no kexts for the GeForce 7600 GT. That pretty much forces me to keep it on Mountain Lion.

MacBookPro4,1 (Early 2008) seems to be working without WiFi. Somewhere i have a spare atheros WiFi card (removed from my iMac 2011 when replaced a newer, AC/AirDrop/Handoff supported card)

I've just finished the automated tool. It may still have some bugs, but if people could test it out for me, that'd be great!

EDIT: doesn't work correct ATM. Working on it now.
Alright, should be fixed now. Go ahead and give it a shot. Note that after the install completes, you'll need to run the post install utility, which is located under the "Utilities" menu in the OS X Installer.

EDIT: Still doesn't seem to be working.

What are the steps to use? Do you need a supported mac?

Alright, the automated patcher is now complete, and SHOULD work perfectly fine. Here's how to use it: First, browse for your copy of the macOS Sierra installer app. Second, select your USB drive that you want to use to install macOS with, and click Start Operation. When the tool finishes, boot it on your unsupported Mac, and install normally. After the installation completes, boot back into the installer, go to the Utilities menu, and select "macOS Post Install". Select the drive on which you just installed macOS, and click "patch". You should now have a working system, with the exception of WiFi on some systems. http://dosdude1.com/sierra/macOS Sierra Patcher.zip
