Hello all
here are the results of installing the supplemental update (Version 10.14.6 (18G95)) using OTA. My machine rebooted without problem after the installation. The only problem I noticed was the loss of Bluetooth. I had the following message from Patch Updater

Screenshot 2019-08-27 at 02.03.03.png

I thus re-installed these patches, and a new restart was required. After the restart Bluetooth was working, but no sound was available. I ran again Patch Updater to re-install the Legacy Sound patch. After the restart sound is back and so far all seems fine.

In macs formatted with HFS this update didn't appears. ¿How can i install it? Combo update didn't say anything about this update.

¿Can I enable in any way updates in systems formatted in HFS? As I mentioned in a previous post, in my computers if I enable APFS there is a bug that make them very slow, so i'm interested to use HFS while this problem persist.

Here on a MacPro 3,1 (10.14.6) getting a "complementary" update. It's safe to update? any instruction?
Done.
The System started up without sound first, and no Wifi hardware too.
I applied post install tool, and et voilà!

Magic Mouse 1 gave me a few connection problems, but after all is done, it's working ok.

Use Mojave Patcher 1.3.3 and download the latest installer image. Then prepare boot stick with it and run the installer from there, atop of your existing installation on your boot volume. Then re-boot the stick and re-patch. Nothing will be lost, so it´s almost as easy as OTA, plus you have an updated install/patch stick.

Perhaps you need to unmount it first?

Thanks that worked. But I can’t boot now. After converting process I made re-patch with APFS patch choose force catch and reboot. APFS logs finishing then apple loading bar coming when finished loading bar it goes to the USB Installer again. Like a loop. What can I do?

Edit: I figured out. I re-install the MacOS top over the mine and re-patch it again. Now I can boot without any problem.

Thank you.

What version number is on the copy of the Mojave full installer that you downloaded from within the 1.3.3 Mojave Patcher? I got something like 14.4.10 instead of the 14.6.04 which you get from downloading Mojave on a supported machine. Did you actually manage to get 14.6.04 or does Mojave Patcher just get the version number wrong on the full installer?

Hi All, i have Mojave running on my MacBook Pro Mid 2009 (Thanks Dosdude), but i realised i cant connect my Airpods 2bd Gen to it even thought they are listed under available devices in Bluetooth menu.

Anyone else faced this issue and any solution?

I boot with the USB Installer and open the DiskUtility and choose the drive I want to convert to APFS but convert option is greyed out never been active. WHY? My system is HFS and I thought it will work on the recovery but when I choose recovery partition it never boots just giving me a prohibited sign error.

What can I do?

Unmount the drive first
Then it can be converted

Repatch Again
and again, if it still fails to boot.

It will work

Yes, a bit of resilience goes a long way. Recently my Mavericks USB installer was giving me a prohibited sign when I was trying to boot into it. It is a supported system. Go figure? I just re-created it again and it worked.

I just don't get it. Am I the only one who can actually download the full 14.6.04 installer straight from the App Store on my unsupported MacBook5,1?

He is mention about build number and he is right. Patcher does not download the recent one. I create new USB installer last night with Mojave Patcher and its download 10.14.4 (18E2034). I download again couple of minutes ago now its download 18G92.

I was making a point that you don't need the patcher to download Mojave installer as long as you have Mojave installed on your unsupported machine(APFS of course).

Hi Guys,
I have a problem with MBP Mid 09 with GeForce 9400+9600. Currently I'm on Mojave 10.14.5 and I noticed that in Settings->Power I am not able to switch graphic card from 9400 to 9600. It looks like this:
1. I change to high performance mode
2. Got log out-log in pop up so I do this
3. After this in power settings there's a prompt saying "Please log out for the changes to make effect". I have done it multiple times with no effect.
Checked in 'About this Mac' and in 'Graphics' line it shows GF9400 all the time.. Can you help me with this?

BTW Does anyone have experience with installing Linux on unsupported machine (eg MBP 09, Mojave) via Boot Camp?

Thanks

Yes, but needed for just in case if got any problem. I always making a new USB Installer with latest release.

Are you saying that the download feature in 1.3.3 Mojave Patcher is non-deterministic and sometimes does download 14.6.04? I've only seen the older 10.14.4 release download with it. FYI, the key file for this is DownloadSettings.plist in "
macOS Mojave Patcher.app/Contents/Resources" which contains...

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
<plist version="1.0">

I can confirm intermittent BT problems with my Magic Mouse and my MacPro 3,1 after latest "complementary" update (MacPro do not find my mouse). I thought it was fixed after applying the Patch Tool, but on a few sessions I lost connection and in others, after turning on my Mac, Magic Mouse is not found.
Anyone with this issue?

I would recommend trying to use the patched full installer (14.6.04). I don't really trust software updates on unsupported machines to not trip up and do incomplete installs.

When I tried the software update for my Mac Mini 4,1, it did the install but upon reboot, the patching system asked to reapply two patches. Problem was that one of the patches it needed was the legacy graphics patch since video was incredibly slow. So I ended up rebooting with the patched install stick and doing the entire post-install. That seems to have gotten things back to normal and working again.

My Macbook 5,1 won't even download the supplemental patch from Apple (unlike the Mac Mini). Not sure what's going on but I guess it's not that important.

Worked here as well on my MBP5,2, running 10.14.6 Supplemental.
Downloaded 10.14.6 Supplemental 2, build 14.6.04, using patcher 1.3.3, just around Noon Swiss time.
