There is usually a new version of Safari at least once per year. Current version 11.1 is out now and version 12 is in a separate Developer Preview.

12 will most likely be out on High Sierra and Mojave, and maybe Sierra by this fall. I am not sure if Safari 12 will be on El Cap.
Aside from the major updates, there are more regular minor Webkit and security updates. Safari 12 will not be available for El Capitan, only Sierra and High Sierra, which fits with the three year support period.

Hi dosdude1 thank you for your big support. I used your last patch updater and I am running macos mojave beta 2 so I would like to update to beta 3. If I use your new patch updater, is it possible to update mojave beta 2 to mojave beta 3? Regards
There's not a Public Beta 3 yet:

Developer Preview 1 = 18A293u
Developer Preview 2 = Public Beta 1 = 18A314k
Developer Preview 3 = Public Beta 2 = 18A326g
Reissued Developer Beta 3 = reissued Public Beta 2 = 18A326h (Feedback app corrected)

Developer Beta 1
Developer Beta 2 = Public Beta 1 = 18A314k
Developer Beta 3 = Public Beta 2 = 18A326g
Reissued Developer Beta 3 = reissued Public Beta 2 = 18A326h (Feedback app corrected)

So installer version 14.0.08 is DP1, 14.0.11 is DP2, and 14.0.12 is DP3. Where is 14.0.09 and 14.0.10?

Definitely, if you´re writing about your main/sole Mac. ;-)

It’s a real bummer. I’m only annoyed by transparency glitches. Hopefully that can be actually fixed and hopefully there will be no other issues that come up.

There must be fix (albeit undiscovered currently) for these transparency glitches. It’s the only reason that I’m not using Mojave on my 2010 MacBook.
If nothing else helps, could we not at least change the finder´s skin (the way all the old theme mods worked, i.e. LeopardRebirth or Mountain Leopard) to replace the translucent areas with solid ones instead of the more general workaround of reduced overall transparency?

Don´t have this folder here (not even flagged as invisible).
But there is more (or did I just not notice before?): During boot, there is always some log output claiming "/AppleInternal/Library/Extensions not existing".
I´m almost tempted to try and create that folder and put some kext in there...
Anyone infos on that - is that Mojave specific or some known folder as a developer related scratchpad for testing?

If you look in /usr/standalone/bootcaches.plist it's just another search path for kexts. Presumably something that Apple uses either for testing or their internal tools (I remember a while back, some of their iPhone restore tools got leaked, and they install to /AppleInternal/ too.).

:apple: News works fine.:) MacBook Pro 13' Mid 2010

Could we do that for the menu bar?

Where can I find those tools? I like having access to things that I shouldn’t have access to.

Thanks for the information so how can I update developer preview 2 to reissued developer beta 3?

Actually, transparency everywhere is broken. Unless we can fix this, Reduce Transparency is the only thing we can do.

It will not install for some reason when the SSD is internal, but I've now removed the SSD and installed Mojave via USB to the SSD and it was successful. Then I put the SSD back into my MBP and it is up and running. :)
Did you notice a time differential install to SSD vs spinner? In my case spinner took about 25 minutes over Firewire 800 SSD is 38 minutes.

Is anyone else experiencing an issue where the dynamic wallpaper doesn’t change? I’m on MacBook 7,1 and beta 3 with patcher beta 7.

I'm using a Mid 2010 MBP, which according to the initial post, should work. So when I attempt to run the installer after making the bootable USB with the patcher, it gives me an error stating it needs to download important content and cannot be downloaded at this time.

also, how would further updates work after a successful install? I'm skimming over the thread and theres a lot of info I'm still in the process of reading.

You need to boot into the USB.
