why does my macbook only connects to 1 wifi but cannot connect to other wifi network? am i the only one who's experiencing this?
Sound like the old issue of needing to "forget" a wifi SSID and then reconnect that happens in some circumstances.
If so, probably nothing to do with OCLP. Search for the issue as a general Mac OS issue.

I don't understand why I did not get any help or even a comment asserting the general weirdness of my situation. I do not even know if it was merely very rare or a setting in OCLP that I should have changed in some way or if the problem once required a kext transfer but does not anymore thanks to all the amazing developers out there; I am very grateful for your efforts. In any case, power management is certainly related because last night a breaker tripped and, though it had nothing to do with the Mac Pro, suddenly, I had Bluetooth and wifi at the same time! I have zero idea as to what happened but it appears to be permanent since the update only stopped because the iPad Pro was connected to the Mac Pro; simply unplugging it caused the update to continue right from where it left off as if nothing had happened!! Previous attempts at controlled reboots or PRAM or SMC controlled resets hadn't worked where, apparently, an entirely uncontrolled shutdown and restart did. Although I thought this was in my profile, cMP 4,1-5,1 conversion with a Sapphire Pulse RX 580 card that came overclocked from factory 2 X Xeon E5620 with 32gb ram and an Inatek USB 3.2 card booting from a OWC 1TB on a PCIe card.
EDIT
I looked into it further and also thanks to @MacinMan answer I realized that you have a Mac Pro.
Unfortunately, I cannot help you, but you will see that there will be other friends who can. Hi

OLD MESSAGE
Sorry, but I can't understand what you are saying about hardware: is that Mac you are using?...
If, on the other hand, it is a Hackintosh PC, I feel sorry for you, but you are completely wrong forum. We only cover Apple Mac computers not officially supported by macOS Sonoma here.

I went back and tried to find the original post. As I understand it, the person has a Mac Pro and they can't get WiFi and Bluetooth working together at the same time. It's either one, or the other, but not both. Then it sounds like they experienced a power failure while working on the machine and when power came back, both BT and WiFi were working, and they're trying to sort out the situation, of how that fixed the problem. cMP probably means cheese grater.

I didn't see any references to non apple hardware in either post.

I have the same issue with my MBP9,1 after updating to Sonoma 14.6 from 14.5. OCLP hasn’t changed during the update. I can view ATV+ films and series with no issues. Only when accessing local film overview, the app crashes.

I can also confirm that this issue exists. Mac Pro 6,1.

Hello,

MacMini 7,1 running smooth with OCLP/Somoma !

Question : what is the "rm" in the background running apps ? (system setup>general>opening>running in background).

Many thanks,

Serviteur,

I would guess an app attempting to use the "rm" Unix command (rm here is short for remove, a basic command on Unix and Unix-like), as you can also do in the terminal. Meaning deleting something.

As stated in title, my Mid 2015 MBP 2.5gHz i7 16gb-512gb-OCLP/Sonoma install, the TV app is not working correctly. This was my first attempt with OCLP. Downloaded several movies from my library and started to play one. It plays about 10-15 seconds then the screen goes black but the audio keeps playing. Tried on every movie I downloaded. Same thing. I disconnected from dock and rebooted. Playing on built in monitor with nothing connected, same thing. Monterey works fine. I've loaded OCLP1.5/Sonoma 14.6.1 twice and same thing. Once from an upgrade perspective from Monterey and once plain dry wipe from USB installer after I noticed this TV app issue. I've since gone back to Monterey so I can watch my movies. No other issues noticed afaik. Mail, Safari, Notes, Messages, all seemed fine when I fired them up and used them. I did not even look at Music yet.. TV is a big thing for me. Has anyone else seen this? Any ideas?

It's a DRM related issue, because of the patched drivers, and also possibly due to the modified SIP configuration that OCLP has to do for root patching. The only way around this on a patched mac, would be to get the movie / TV show from a different source such as Blu-ray and use a program Such as MakeMKV to pull it off disc and then convert it to a non protected file that would work with the TV App, if you can even import stuff like you could with iTunes. I haven't used the TV personally in years on the mac and usually use Plex to manage my media, or watch on a different device.

EDIT: There used to be programs you could buy that would strip DRM from Apple protected content, but They weren't reliable. so the options i gave you would be more reliable if you want to use a non supported OS.

Yeah, I thought perhaps it was a DRM thing.. DRM issues on Linux won't even play anything. Thanks for the reply. Someone seems to have moved my separate post post into this one... Pretty sure I created my own post.. I guess I missed this thread. I guess I'm staying on Monterey.. too bad.. and I just bought this MBP for this very experiment. Waste of money I guess.. My MBA works fine on Monterey too. Maybe I'll just throw the Air in the closet and use the MBP now. It has a newer battery and I have a 2TB drive on the way for it. The stock 512 isn't enough.. Or I might dump Linux on one of them again.. Thanks again MacinMan!

You're welcome, might consider an Apple TV box, if you want full 4K and HDR support as well vas Atmos for your content. otherwise you'd have to get a new M Series mac for that. Either way, Monterey isn't a bad option, especially if you don't need the latest features. Linux is as well, if you don't need Apple specific features, or can use the stuff you need, or have alternatives you're happy with. You can watch the streaming content from Apple TV+ in Firefox or Chrome on Linux, it's mainly the purchased content you'll need to stay on Monterey for. (downloads.)

Right.. I've got 3 Apple TVs in the house.. That's not an issue. I just like having all my movies and music onboard so I'm not always HAVING to stream and eat my data. That's why I have a 1TB iP13pm, a 2TB drive in my Air and have another one coming for the Pro. I have over 22,000 pics and vids on it too and I keep full res pics onboard as well, so I always have everything with me wherever I travel. I had high hopes for OCLP when I found out about it. I've held off for quite a while till they worked out the bugs. I watch Mr Macintosh on YT and he had me pretty excited about it. Oh well..

It's a good option, if you don't need something specific that's graphics related (especially). One last tip I'll give you. I already mentioned Plex already. You could do what I've done, and I've been happy with it. Get one of those 12 TB My Book drives rom WD. They come with a white label red drive, which is a NAS rated drive. It's worked well for my movies at full quality from Blu-ray. If you want to go Plex for local streaming, look into getting yourself a Shield TV Pro (2019) model (if you don't have one), and you'll be able to enjoy lossless audio (including Atmos) especially if you have a nice home theater setup to use it with. You'll be able to do this with open core if you want. Plex works fine with that. It mainly only affects watching DRM'd content on the computer from Apple. Anyway have a great day and just take these suggestions as you'd like to try and look into for your needs. PS, the Drive was about $350 for me when I got it a few years back. Anyway not to take the thread too far off topic, i'll leave it here for you.

Macbook Pro 15" 2013 updated to 14.6.1. Works like a charm.

As you can see in my signature, I'm up to 14.6.1 on nearly all my Legacy Macs. Those that are, run flawlessly. My issue is the oldest one which is the "stock as a rock" 2011 27" iMac 12,2. I've not thermal pasted nor upgraded the GPU to something metal compatible so I've avoided going past Ventura. Not that I need any of the features from Sonoma. It's just a machine we live in the living area for random quick searches, email replying, a bit of Youtube and also what holds the SONOS music library.

Has anyone got any insight to whether it's at all possible going to 14.6.1 ?

Is dual-booting an option? If so, keep a separate Monterey volume and boot Monterey when you want to watch Apple TV.
eh.. true.. but really too much of a hassle at this point. I'll just stay on Monterey till either that issue gets fixed or maybe a year or so after they drop patches for it.

Well something pretty strange just happened on my late 2013 15" MBP.

I did an "OTA" update from 14.6.0 to 14.6.1. Once downloaded and prepared, it said I need to reboot, but the "Reboot now" button wasn't working. So I manually rebooted. It didn't do anything during boot, but just let me log in as usual.

Everything on screen is now bigger than what I had previously selected, no wallpaper, and doing anything on screen is laggy. I checked the OS version and I'm still on 14.6.0 and it's now downloading the update again. OCLP 1.5.0 says all root patches have already been applied.

Anyone seen this before? I'm going to try to update again but what if it doesn't work? I do the "full" method?

EDIT: I tried the update again, and this time it worked as normal. Re-applied root patches after reboot, allowed the extension for VoltageShift (SC Lee) and all was well.

Sonoma on a Late 2013 iMac (14,1): system and apps (safari especially) forget the setting and always reopen windows from latest session; anybody else with this annoyance?
tried changing and re-changing the preferences but the problem is still there…
