Not working: Logitech's LogiOptions+ and Sonoma RC

Issue: the LogiOptions+ installer tries to download additional software from Logitech but times out after several minutes with "Oops, something went wrong"

Has anyone tried Emailchemy v13 or v14, by Weird Kid Software. It's a email utility tool for working with Outlook and the native OLM files, to de-duplicate, etc.

Uninstall all :
sudo /Library/Application\ Support/Logitech.localized/LogiOptionsPlus/logioptionsplusagent.app/Contents/Frameworks/logioptionsplusupdater.app/Contents/MacOS/logioptionsplus_updater --full --uninstall

  • MacMediaKeyForwarder 3.1.2 (Asks for automation and accessibility permissions and then quits, 3.1.1 still works)

Quark has just (Sept 25) notified Xpress users NOT to instal Sonoma as Xpress will not work properly. They advise installing QXP 2024 which is coming in November and should resolve this problem.

Has anyone tried SEE Finance 2 in Sonoma? Developer is non-responsive and I am hesitant to upgrade until I know it works without issues.

The main apps I use 24/7 are ones that run up in the menu bar...

Macs fan control,
Boom 3D,
AlDente,
Menubar Stats...

Also Cinebench, GFX Metal and Geekbench 6.

Im sure most if not all will be updated soon

My 14'' MBP is the only computer on my desk, so I _need_ it to work in order to do my job. Every year I tell myself to hold on at least for the .1 update, but I still find myself clicking Upgrade 5 minutes after the .0 version is released...
This thread (and it's precursors) is a great help to at least get some verification that the most important applications works in the new OS - thanks!

Today, first day after the Sonoma upgrade, I only have one issue - AnyConnect doesn't work (connects OK, but Posture fails)... Got the NW team working on it, so hopefully it should be resolved soon...

Edit: Turned out to be a server side issue (macOS 14 had to be added as an approved client OS)...

1password 6.8.9 [Yeap] still works for me. Updated my MBP and app is fine in the menu bar and as the main app. Syncs across via icloud to an iMac on ventura and iPad/iPhones on 17.0.1

For me MAMP Pro is working absolutely perfectly with a large number of hosts and 17GB of databases. Absolutely no issues. Installed Sonoma... carried on working as if nothing had happened.

Just noticed, that mpg (installed via macports) immediately quits when using "open with" in finder. Started from the command line, with the video file name as an argument it works fine.

Not sure, if this is a glitch in macOS or mpv.

I'm using Thinkorswim on an M1 Mac Mini with 16Gb of RAM. TOS software runs noticeably slower and about 10C hotter. I would advise anyone using TOS to stick with Ventura. I'm considering downgrading back to Ventura.

I'm running the Think or Swim workaround (native Apple Silicon Java) and my Studio is running at 36 degrees which is normal. Are you using Intel Java or Apple Silicon Java?

I tested the Think or Swim workaround on the Sonoma betas and release before upgrading my production systems and they are all running fine in terms of thermals.

I didn't know there was a choice of different Javas so I assume I'm running Apple Silicon Java. I've never installed any separate Java to any of my Macs. Are you suggesting I do so? Maybe this one, I guess: https://www.oracle.com/java/technologies/downloads/#jdk21-mac

My Mac mini was running about 30C - 35C on Ventura. Now it's around 45C - 50C.

Run Activity Monitor and CPU and it will tell you if you are running Intel or Apple Silicon. If you've never done anything, then you're running Intel.

Here are my directions on running under Apple Silicon:

Hmm, under “kind” for TOS it says Intel. Thank you for the vid link. I'll check it out.
