Yes for me too, however it is 'starting' a bit faster for me... takes around 3-4 mins.... but then works normal. Any thoughts on how to remedy...

It doesn't crash any longer for me, but I can't select any palettes. Is that the same for you?

emClient is working... From a post in their forum: "eMClient seems to be working just fine. Have only been using it for the past hour, but it’s receiving and sending emails with no issues. I see no issues with any of the graphics or performance."

For my creative video editors, photographers, DJs and musicians the following programs are working on Sonoma Beta 3 with my MacBook Pro 16" M1 MAX - Ableton Live 11.3.3, Rekordbox (USB Export tested), Serato DJ Pro 3.0.8 working, Latest version of Lightroom Classic & Lightroom working, Da Vinci Resolve 18.5 Beta 5 working. OBS Working 29.1.3, Elgato Streamdeck 6.3 - The webcam feature is buggy but SUPER COOL. From the keynote it green screens you and then also allows you to choose 2 sizes. The larger size seems to be buggy at least with testing with OBS. Basically Sonoma automatically detects where you are screen sharing/webcam'ing from and then allows you to activate etc. Same goes for all the other continuity camera features with new reactions etc. Will have to do more testing. But there were some programs that seemed to work better / faster / smoother or handle video codecs better like Sony footage seemed to be better on the latest rebadged Sonoma beta 3 as well.

Are there any ServiceStation or ContextMenu users here? Do they work for you?
I have the basics working in my test Sonoma, but some users have reported Service Station not working.

That's my post. There is a current problem under Beta 3 where if you get spam in your INBOX and attempt to move it to JUNK, the entire client crashes.


Support was able to replicate that issue and is working on a fix for a future release.

I added to non-working:

  • App Cleaner & Uninstaller (software indicates Sonoma compatible update this fall)

MacMediaKeyForwarder 3.1.2 is broken and constantly asks for automation and accessibility permissions, then quits; version 3.1.1 still works

A note about Quicken on Sonoma: Apple has re-implemented the menu system from scratch (!) and the menu in Quicken that allows you to customize the columns in the register doesn't appear in some of the Sonoma betas. It was broken in the Developer Beta 1, fixed in Developer Beta 2, and appears to be broken again in the current Developer Beta. I'm installing the Public Beta now to check...

overall no app crashes. only this weird out of focus quirk when there is new dialog boxes.
