macOS 26.1 RC - Bug fixes, changes, and more

With Mission Control it depends on what/how many windows are open. I noticed once it being slow while many windows (over 20-30) were open but when I closed Chrome Task Manager window it started to behave normally.

This being a "common observation"...

My imagined hallucination is that the engineers at Apple who actually care about fixing bugs used the 26.0 debacle opportunity to push a bigger bug fix through for 26.1 than would have occurred anyways
 
The dictionary app's toolbar is completely transparent now. Just a bug, I guess. Although you never know these days...

Preview.app's markup toolbar has also become extremely hard to decipher on some backgrounds and looks much worse now than it did in 26.0 or 26.0.1. Not sure what's up with that. A bit unfortunate, since so many other things have become more legible.

not having either of those problems. have you rebooted?
 
Music app working great maybe because I'm listening to Taylor Swift's new album and Apple wouldn't dare futz with her!!
 
I can't set an alarm in the Clock app. Nothing happens when I click on save.

Settings app is also acting strange at the moment. I wanted to search for updates, but the section was just blank.

And I often have to force quit apps, mainly Apple's owns.
 
How is the Music app re: playlists? I haven't gone to Tahoe yet because I use Music to build radio shows. I'd read here that there were issues with playlists, and if the playlists don't work, it'd be a headache. Thanks in advance!
 
What do you think, Release or RC2 next?


The upper section of Music is working now again for me but I don't use playlists. @baruch


My hiding menu bar issue was gone after an automatic logout while sleeping and it doesn't come backwhen I turn it on and off again.

My M1 pro can do Mission Control smoothly regardless how many windows opened… on Sequoia
