Im getting exactly the same message on a brand new Mac mini 2020. I don't think its our hardware. Im just gonna wait it out a bit. Let me know if you have success. Good luck!

same, got to the end of the download on two different imacs and get the failed message. any attempt to restart and i get the failed message instantly, i wouldn't even know how to restart from scratch...

At least it's not just me. I get the error as soon as it starts to download, so I really get nowhere.

I miss the old days when we could just click a link to the dmg file.

Same here. First the download was hanging and then got an error message that the download failed. After a reboot I get also the installation failed error.

Same thing on 2017 macbook pro.
After 3 tries, finally downloaded and installation failed.
I think the servers are overloaded.
I even decided to bite the bullet and buy a new one and the website timed out.

it happened to me on my two macs (iMac and macbook pro): installation hanged at 1,56 GB download, then at 3,12 (on both), and finally the installation failed message on both macs at the same time.
Probably servers too busy.

Same here. Downloaded 5 Go and then error message . Rebooted my MBA and Safari took a LONG to open .
