Updated to 10.15.3 the other day and now it feels like i'm controlling my MBP with a rubber band, the cursor movement lags behind ever so slightly, both the built in trackpad and with a mouse, whats up with that? Anyone else got that?
What a mess... Apple's neglect of OS X is a disgrace since Jobs left.
I knew it was a bad omen when they renamed macOS to allign with the iOS brand
but never thought they'd manage to release such a pos.

16" MacBook Pro: internal audio stops working every now and then. Applications that want to use audio will either lag or hang until you Force Quit them.

The only solution is to restart the laptop.

Catalina 10.15.3 Not sure if this is a bug, but there no longer is any indication on screen when you switch keyboard input sources. In Mojave and previous versions of macOS there was a overlay similar to when you change volume that showed which input source you were changing to and the order. Now the only way to do so is have the entire input source display in the menubar taking up real estate. Anyone know a solution to this? Is there an option I've missed?

When this happens, open Activity Monitor and Force Quit "coreaudiod" it will restart automatically and might bring back your audio without having to restart the laptop.

If you are using CTRL+SPACE to switch input sources, just hold the CTRL after you release the SPACE - the on screen overlay is shown.

10.15.4 has fixed the display port issue where Night Shift was not working prior to this update using the 2018 Mini USB-C to DP cable. Now Night Shift is working correctly.

Anyone having the bug in 10.15.4 where the dock still appears when you go to shutdown your Mac and during boot the Apple logo loading bar screen quickly goes black (flickers) and reappears just before the login window?

So after updating to 10.15.4 my Mac keeps rebooting and going to the ‘Name’ and ‘Password’ screen. I’ve shutdown and Cmd+R to launch disk utility. It keeps unmounting the hard drive, I’ll mount it, check First Aid (no issues) then try to reboot. Same crash. I’ve tried to download the update again via Cmd+R and still crashes. I can login just fine, seems like it’s loading everything on the main window then freezes and goes back to the login screen.

Any ideas??

I updated to Catalina finally and had a scare when the screen went black for a long time, but it finally worked.
Two things though-
System preferences has a red circle with a 2 in it. There are no more updates when I click of software update, it says nothing is there. Is the 2nd one because I didn't sign onto iCloud? I haven't been using it for a long time.
Second thing-
All of my music is not in Music (why couldn't they keep the iTunes name?).
I can't figure out how to get music from my iPod Classic into Music so all of my songs will be on the computer like they were before.
I searched but found only instructions for iTunes. Any ideas? Thanks

Hello to everyone!
I'm new with Mac OS and have a problem with wi-fi. I deleted it by accident in system pref. > network. Now trying to configure wi-fi but I can't create. It just doesn't appear. But wi-fi is workin'

What should I do? A recovery? Or I have to disconnect from wi-fi at all and then in the network menu create a wi-fi?

In the Network panel, click the "+" in the bottom left, chose "Wi-Fi" as the interface, and it should default to the same as the service name. Click Create. Click Apply.

Why did Apple sign me into iCloud when I didn't tell them to? All I did was sign in to my Apple ID to get rid of that annoying red dot on system preferences and figured I'd sign in eventually to buy songs in Music (they couldn't keep the iTunes name?). The iCloud drive was unchecked. I don't like or need iCloud so I sign out of it and all of a sudden my Safari Bookmarks are what they were 2 years ago. Why should signing out of iCloud do anything to my current set-up? Why should it do it without asking me?
Luckily I kept my current bookmarks but when importing it goes to a drop down menu and not directly below bookmarks so I am going to have to once again take an hour getting my bookmarks back down directly under the bookmarks by opening every bookmark and saving them again.

Oh, and now after updating to Catalina most of my music is missing. Trying to figure out how to get music from my iPod back into Music.
Frustrating. I remember when the MacOS was so simple to use
