Ok, figured out how to get Final Cut Pro X to work on High Sierra. Had to download FXfactory from fxfactory.com

OMG was at my wits end and was editing 4K videos off my 12-inch Macbook that was still on Sierra!!! Made me more impressed with the Macbook though, that thing handles 4K video editing like a champ!

Pro Tools 12.8 works and Logic Pro X 10.3.2 works. Volume control on menu bar does not work with Apogee Quartet. It only works to control volume of internal speakers. It was working before with my Apogee Quartet when I was running Sierra, though. I have an iMac 27" mid 2011 with a 1 TB SSD.

i've been running FCPX on all the betas (with some issues here & there), but ok since public beta 8... and currently, on the official release...

Office for Mac 2011

Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Lync have not been tested on macOS 10.13 High Sierra, and no formal support for this configuration will be provided.

All applications in the Office for Mac 2011 suite are reaching end of support on October 10th, 2017. As a reminder, after that date there will be no new security updates, non-security updates, free or paid assisted support options or technical content updates. Refer to the Microsoft Support Lifecycle for more information.

Does anyone here use xtraFinder ?
Does it work in High Sierra? As far as I can tell, all of the apps I use work without problems. Xtrafinder is the only one that no one mentioned here. Actually, someone asked this question already, but it's unanswered so far :)

I gave up on Xtrafinder a while back due to lack of development updates and just went with totalfinder which works fine on HS so I'm guessing Xtra would work too.

Funny thing is, I gave up on TF due to lack of development :)
I will test them all out tomorrow, and see how they work. Will report here, so others who are interested could know as well.

Thanks for the info.

I used to chat with Google Talk (Hangouts) via Messages.app – stopped working. When I check enable, it'll never go online and uncheck itself shortly after.

"Your message could not be sent.
Support for the targeted service: Google Talk has been discontinued"

Same here brother. Months later (now September), and this seems to be permanent.

In Sierra I could open Spotlight and type:

r/news

And would automatically send me to reddit.com/r/news, that is, the subreddit for news.

This doesn't work anymore in High Sierra.

Thanks I'm aware of all that. But in no reviews have I seen anything about whether they actually work or not, same with 2016. I'm reluctant to buy 2 year old software (2016) or be locked in a perpetual subscription for 365 for software I barely use but find a necessity. Can anyone who has 2011 and has installed 10.13 just comment on whether the apps still work or not?

^^^^I paid $56.99 for the Home and Business edition. Thought that was a GREAT deal. It's legitimate, the license goes to Microsoft and you can download directly from Microsoft. However I chose to download the program first and apply the license once installed. I bought my license here:

BTW, MS announced Office 2019 this morning. Coming out in late 2018.

Sound preferences do not work for me. "Could not load Sound preferences pane". Also, web browsers of all kinds are almost not functional. Took me about 5 minutes and a reinstall of the OS to get here to post this

Nvidia Web Drivers aren’t updated...

#sad. Accidentally upgraded to High Sierra before nvidia drivers were available. Next time I won’t go near computer without copious amounts of coffee.

List claims quicksilver works. I am hesitant since the new file system seems like it would be a big change for it to handle, and I don't see evidence that anyone works on it anymore.

Can anyone confirm?
Does anyone use it besides me?
I don't know how to work a computer without it.

EDIT: Works fine.

Just to confirm:

XtraFinder doesn't work. At all.
TotalFinder does.

I will continue on with High Sierra, finally my mac isn't lagging like it's 10 years old. But I do hope that xtrafinder developer updates xtrafinder, since I find XF to be far better then TF :)

is somebody able to use continuity and open safari tabs on HS 10.13 via ios 10.3.3(using recent tabs)? They just won't show up in my phone :(
