Very timely and appreciated post!

hmm. not 'clearing the cache & logging out', and nothing's changed on reboot (i did disable SIP to do this)....

EDIT: system files (ie folders etc) still seem unchangeable (and the 'this system not supported' message is still there). all i can say is: :(

EDIT EDIT: well, the default folder has changed, as has the dock trash can. but no system folders (ie the home folders), no finder icon in the dock. so pretty unpredictable... anyone else?

Yeah, clear cache and log out does not work as before, but all my swapped icons did change with the exception of Finder.

EDIT: Digging through folders I notice a couple of anomalies so clearly a few things need worked out, but on the whole it is doing the job (if not yet as well as in Sierra)

EDIT EDIT: I found something here:
https://gist.github.com/fabiofl/5873100

This command: sudo find /private/var/folders/ -name com.apple.dock.iconcache -exec rm {} \;
followed by logging out the user does seem to have cleared the icon cache and switched to me replacements.

I too noticed that the "clear cache and log out" didn't work, but after a couple of restarts the folders did change. Didn't try changing the finder or desktop icons. Then High Sierra started to act up, finally had to restore my old Mac Pro to Sierra. HS caused my Crucial MX300 SSD to start showing "bad blocks" errors. A firmware update for the SSD and a revert back to Sierra fixed that. I really doubt that APFS is 100 % ready for prime time, though it may be close enough to use on newer hardware. The 2009 Mac Pro I use does not like HS, definitely.

thanks, mostly worked. can't seem to change my home folder icons (altho the default folder did change'. so it goes, at least some of it works...

Apologies if this has been mentioned elsewhere.

On major issue with 10.13 that is driving me crazy: Anytime I type in the Outlook (O365 version) search box, Outlook immediately crashes. Running the latest Outlook.

Hi, developer of Timing here. Unfortunately I can't find an option to edit the original article, although I can edit my own articles (maybe missing permissions?).

Timing v1.8.1 is currently listed as "crashes when selecting items". It works fine for me under High Sierra, so I suspect this only happened in a beta of HS.

In addition, I released Timing v2.2.1 today which explicitly supports High Sierra. Could anyone with edit rights please update the list accordingly? Thanks!

has anyone else had issue where if you search for a word in Word 2016 that the highlighted bubble of the word stays on the screen until you close Word?

Keynote 5.3: You can no longer present/play presentations. You can still open files I can tell and modify them in every way as far as, but it will no longer work for giving presentations.

Textwrangler 5.5.2 gives me a "this file is in use" warning every time I try to save a document. It saves properly but it is super annoying.

Also Illustrator CC v21.0.0 works perfectly fine for me on a rMB 2017, with APFS. It was already installed, but I have absolutely no issue opening, creating, or editing files. No idea why it is affecting everyone else?

I just reinstalled Office 365 (after clean installing High Sierra), and my Outlook comes up with a strikethrough icon over it in Applications. Thankfully I don't use Outlook, so I uninstalled it, but that's the only one of the Office apps that didn't work.

ScanSnap Manager appears to work normally, but pages scanned to PDF, scan in jumbled order. Enclosed are examples of dummy pages that were scanned in single side mode and also in double side mode.

Just installed High Sierra 10.13.1 beta and now I see that DropBox refuses to launch.
And before anyone asks, I did download the latest DB version, still a no-go.

Thanks for that news... Dropbox is critical to my workflow... so good to know there's issues before I upgrade.

I've updated for you. Nice to have developers here. And Mages.
[doublepost=1507132536][/doublepost]Wacom has yet to release High Sierra drivers.

However both Intuos Art as well as Intuos Pro (2017) works fine for me on High Sierra with the latest drivers from Wacom. I'm running HS on a 2017 MBP.

I use my Mac Mini at home as a udpxy server, allowing to watch IPTV anywhere in the house, in any device.

However, since updating to High Sierra the streams freeze a lot. Has anybody experienced something like that?

So far, playing with 10.13.0 on an external SSD, booted to my MBP 2015, I have had good results. I have Mail running well, VMWare Fusion 8.5.8 works well with existing VM's, CCC is good, as is Pathfinder, other minor utilities work well. And I have just configured Postfix and Apache to my preferred setups using previous config files, and they work well. No real problems to report as yet, except that on some boots, the OS does not connect to Bluetooth devices. A simple F1 (my shortcut to System Preferences) brings Bluetooth alive.
