Does anyone know if this has fixed Mail when you have iCloud, Gmail, and FastMail configurations taking a very long time to download mail?
I have just iCloud, Gmail and comcast accounts and have not noticed a speed-up and have assumed the long times and had more to do with server response, but I could be wrong.

Came back to reply again. After your Pi-Hole question, I just went and checked my long-term logs. Indeed there are two new domains showing up related to Apple for my new Mac Mini.

Once I added:

apple-relay.fastly-edge.com
token.safebrowsing.apple

To my whitelist, it all started working again.

Thank you
Good to hear! Apparently apple is now routing a significant portion of traffic through a private relay-esque system and pi hole blocks that by default. Happy holiday

A weird bug I've been having is my Downloads folder in my Dock, I have it set to View Content as "Grid", but somehow it's showing as "Fan", even with the setting showing it's set to "Grid". I've been having to run sudo killall Dock and then force quit Finder.

Looks like searching in a Finder window for me is broken. I can look straight away at a file in a folder, search for that file name and get zero results. FWIW I'm seeing this on an M! MBP and on a 2018 Intel Mac mini...

The Finder search never really worked to find everything. It's really annoying. I already use apps like ProFind or Funter to search.

I’ve never had issues like this where I wasn’t able to search for one file like this.

I've noticed the same thing since macOS 15.0. Didn't have any issues on Sonoma.

I depends on where the files are located I think. Things hidden in Libraries or other system directories are often not shown in the search. With user files there are normally no problems.

I almost directly came from High Sierra to the first 15.0 Developer Beta and Finder is still the same mess as before. I never liked it. I never understood the view settings and how or if they are stored permanently.

Now I often have problems with moving or deleting files. The operation gets stuck and I have to force quit the Finder.
I am on 15.3 Beta 2 now and am not sure if it was already in 15.2 or even before.

I seems Private Relay is the problem for very much. I often just can't use Safari while Firefox is working fine. Maybe it was also the reason for my TestFlight problem. But that seems to be fixed in the meanwhile with newer versions. Bevore it was unusable for almost half a year, because it never got a connection. It only was able to update installed apps in the background.

Also the emails from my main iCloud account always need a few minutes for all to appear. While every other account, also iCloud accounts, Gmail, Outlook and other smaller providers are there almost instantly when opening Mail.

Maybe I should turn private Relay off.

Everytime i reboot my MacMini a get those messages several times and I never had this on my M3 iMac. That's maybe what you get for paying extra to have a 10Gbps Ethernet port.

I later found out it is related to my VPN. But I used the same on the iMac and the only thing I noticed was that some countries just don't support private relay, but that was another message then.

But also on my iMac Safari often just stopped working as if there was no Internet connection.

FYI - iPhone Mirroring stopped working between my iOS18.3b3 14 Pro and M1 MacBook Air running 15.2.
Installing 15.3b3 on the Air fixed it.
