Ubuntu ARM64 can work on both Virtualbox and UTM. There's a catch - Ubuntu does not provide ARM desktop installer, but there's a way around it - download Ubuntu server ARM image and install ubuntu-desktop package on it after installation is finished.

UTM has ready-made Ubuntu VM for ARM available but I have not been able to get it to work.

VirtualBox shows me those ARM Linux, there sometimes several versions from each distribution:

Ans there are three BSDs:

For Windows there is only Windows 11 ARM to choose.

Nah, didn't make a difference if I switched from using a Wireguard connection versus using an OpenVPN connection with either TCP or UDP. Still broken unfortunately.

Not sure if there are any VPN providers (legit VPN providers) completely unaffected?

At the moment my Proton VPN is working even with running Adguard at the same time. But I don't even need the client because there is a double country Wireguard connection in the router, that I change once every 1-2 months.

Adguard VPN seems not to work.

ProtonVPN can be used for free with a limited number of servers and features and only one device, you could try if it works.

Fascinating enough, Proton VPN seems to work just fine.

Thank you for pointing that out. I've had a subscription with them for a while, but rarely use the VPN as the app is clunky and Mullvad has always met my needs. This should greatly assist with waiting for an updated beta build.

I don't like the app too. But it was much worse when I used it the first time last year.

I know this too, that only Firefox worked and nothing else. Or sometimes no browser worked but the AppStore and Telegram worked. Very strange. But that was with an older Beta and other VPN.

Have you tried a different protocol?

Or not using a double connection over two countries, if it's enabled? In Proton it's called "Secure Core" and there you can choose the protocol again.

I just tried a little sometimes it worked and sometimes not. When I keep in on Smart (what chooses the best connection automatically it mostly works.)

When nothing works it even shows me OpenVPN as an option what is otherwise only as downloadable configuration files on their website available. Maybe you should try that. Almost every VPN provider has those.

X2... tried different configs on both the VPN app and Mac OS settings and only Chrome works, Apple's stuff simply does not connect, the most ive gotten is Safari fetching my icloud tabs but then fails to load them, as soon as i disconnect from the VPN, it all comes back to life.

Seems to be a Beta 2 issue since it was all fine in Beta 1 and the fact that Chrome is unaffected, makes me think this is on Apple's side meanwhile, reported it on feedback and lets wait for Beta 3 🤷‍♂️

Other than this, Safari IS snappier in this Beta

It's so strange that I had the most problems with 15.3 and 15.4 fixed Private Relay turning on and off permanently again and not working together with "limit IP address tracking". It always made Safari unusable.

just to jump in, I'm running a PIA VPN on macOS 15.4 without issues

in addition a Little Snitch which seems to have some issues displaying the map properly if connected via VPN

Anyone else use grid view in the Dock for Applications and Utilities and sometimes almost everything is displayed double like this:

Screenshot 2025-03-05 at 07.04.44.png

The Applications folder preview looks like that at the moment. It's only a part of it, but it sticks out, that the standard Apple apps are not affected. Yesterday it was the other way round and it was only the standard apps.

I have the folder where only the standard apps are located too in the Dock and it also looks like that now:

This strangely started when I put external drives on my Mac a few days ago. At the moment there is only one freshly formatted connected, that is doing TimeMachine backups once a day.

Fortunately no - over 2 machines.

Did you change the picture of Little Snitch? It's normal now like mine with VPN. I am in the middle of the ocean. :)

Yes, I have exchange the empty map (caused by PIA VPN) to the proper one - it actually locates me pretty well (no need to swim :) )

With the new PIA 3.6.1 beta 2 it fixes the map issue. Oh wait, Private-Relay makes me go swimming too

Does this here work when VPN is on and you don't see the map? Any of them? Or is there an error message?
I had an error message there for a while and don't exactly know why. But now all of them work. Together with VPN. I think when some DNS providers that Little Snitch doesn't know are used in System Settings, Adguard or a VPN, it shows that error and maybe then the map does not work.

I always use Cloudflare in the System Settings at the moment, but here I can choose what I want now. It was set to dns0 before I tried the others and make a screenshot. I while ago it did not work. I think because I set the System to Mullvad DNS extended with blocking ads, trackers and malware.

Internet works fine ... the Map glitch was only initial

My PIA and connects to my AdGuard-DNS server on a Raspberry PI, Snitch uses Cloudflare

and properly locates me at my PIA address
