Strange, but my M4 Mac Mini has NEVER turned on either Siri nor AI crap throughout all it's updates.
I also have the iCloud crap turned OFF, and blocked via Little Snitch, maybe that works as well?

Anyone else getting a 5–10 second hang after opening a new private window in Safari?

Great!

I actually stumbled upon this thread looking for possible bugs that affected DAWs, audio plugins or virtual instruments since a previous macOS update rendered most of my 3rd party plugins unusable in Logic Pro, and read your issue among similar other comments, and decided to post my case.

It was annoying for me because I had a good chunk of my DAWs audio content and sample libraries in the internal drive. Decided to get an external USB 4 SSD and dump everything there just in case it happens again. But yes, very annoying, and just for a feature that I didn't really use (that's why I turned it off the first time.)

Have nothing against it, but my case was true. Had my macOS install in english, and after the second time the bug came out, I switched it to spanish (my first language) so Apple Intelligence wouldn't turn itself on again since it wasn't supported in my language. Turns out, it's supported in spanish as of 15.4, so I'm afraid I won't update for now.

I am not sure if this is an outright system corruption case here as change is consistent between enabled and disabled state. If I look this Storage categories view then simple math hints that variability should be "Applications + macOS - Apple Intelligence". In this case roughly 84 + 24 - 10 = 98 GB, which does match actual variance in purgeable data amount better than any other obvious combination and is quite on spot compared to real values. By this logic we have a situation where "Applications" and "macOS" will be marked as purgeable after disabling Apple Intelligence and this is reversed when Apple Intelligence is enabled. What is logic behind this behaviour, remains questionable.

P. S. There's no APFS snapshots on any volumes.

I've noticed this weird issue where the Music App keeps reopening and crashing if I manually open it, use it, and close it. I can open it initially and use the Music App normally... But when I'm done and I close out (Quit), it keeps reopening and crashing. I can't close from Force Quitting, it just reopens, and same from quitting in Activity Monitor, just reopens.. over and over and over and over.. Only "Fix" is to reboot.

I still use the OSX frequently on my MacBook Air 2010 and even post messages on that here.
some sites work with snow lion browser as the graphic are just like sequoia.
I tried, not later than yesterday, to reinstall 10.6.8 on my old MBP early 2011… but I lost my DVD. I found and ISO of 10.6.7 (the one that came with my laptop) on the Internet Archives but was unable to build an USB bootable with it, unfortunately.

There has to be a source from  i think, or just Lion forward.
I have a spare 2011 thumb drive i cant use anymore use if you need that.

Open apps on Macbook Air M2, 2022 are closing (stop running) on their own and constantly need to be reopened. Right now it's Messages and FindMy.

Anyone else? Ideas?

I updated and mail won't send...I set up email to send using Apple Mail, click on the Send icon, it goes grey and...nothing...mail does not send, icon stays greyed out. Quit mail, try it again, same thing. Grrr.

Also cannot buy anything from app store or apple tv...the option is not there. 15.4 is pretty buggy...if these are the ones I have found, I am betting there are plenty more. Apple advisors unable to do anything, no idea how to handle this.

-----

Next day...I can now buy from the app store but not music or movies or tv shows...so Apple is slowly responding to these errors.

-----
With my 8th apple advisor we did some actual troubleshooting, the problem persists, so escalated to engineers. We did figure out it is user specific, in other words when I created a test user these issues did not appear.
Final entry on this...they did find that many people were having this issue because the update changed an obscure setting in email: Mail > Settings > Composing > choose Check Spelling AS I TYPE and mail will again send as it should.

So far, all I see that is wrong with MacOS 15.4 is that the minimize button for windows on XQuartz no longer works.
I was ready to blame LaunchControl which seemed to coincide with me noticing this, but yes I cannot always minimize my xterm windows in MacOS 15.4. But I'm sure I've been able to do it at least once since upgrading...

Should this be reported on both the Mac and XQuartz pages? The fix might be in either one.

I would start with XQuartz since no other App is doing this and so it seems to be possibly some change in the window management API not being followed. XQuartz does have a a bug report discussion here #431

I'm finding a lot of my regular windowed apps are quitting on their own, but not the apps I put into Full Screen.. Messages, Ivory, Tapestry, Safari- all closing out on their own after some seemingly random amount of time.

Exact same thing for me. Open apps I have onscreen are fine. It's the open running apps that are minimized which just randomly close and stop running for no reason and must be opened again. For me, it's still Messages, Find My, and Reminders. (For now).

15.4 further degrades Mail for me. I check spelling upon send which still generates the usual dialogue box, but if I dismiss this (for instance because an email has lots of technical content that isn't in dictionaries) the email can't be sent. Instead I have to close the email to save it as a draft, reopen the email and dismiss the spelling dialogue box a second time to send the email!?! 'Anyone else seeing this nonsense?
