I noticed this already in 15.5. Not sure when automatic updates start. Maybe they always wait a few days. I just looked and all apps are updated.
But I am downgrading if there is no new beta tommorrow, that is lowering temperatures.
Can't risk anymore my M4 Pro Mini being hot the whole day for no obvious reason. I already eliminated a driver that went crazy and something else and can't see anything using much more CPU.
But the temperatures especially of the Efficiency Cores are generally much higher, when almost doing nothing. Performance Cores should stay at a certain temperature but some just randomly jump up.
I think the problem might the WindowServer process using too much GPU. It's always on top in Activity Monitor. I only remember the Effinceny Cores being always at 40 or 45 degrees Celsius and the Performance Cores at 40 when I am doing almost nothing.
I never looked at other than CPU temperatures before. So I can't really tell what's the problem. The Mini always was not even slightly warm in 15.5. If I haven't done anything special. I told that app to ramp the fans up shortly when anything is above 80 degrees and this is happening very often mostly when just launching Safari. Firefox isn't doing this.
Here are the current temperatures with only this Tab open in Firefox. It's not really hot but very warm compared to the cold metal it had been before the update.

Here GPU usage is jumping around randomly from zero up to 40% or something in between while just looking at it and doing nothing else:
