YES!!!! I am getting the exact same thing. I actually came here to ask this question. I've tried deleting the .plist files and that did nothing. I rarely use Contacts since I use Outlook. But it bothers me that something isn't working. Maybe it will be fixed in the next update?

Semi-solution here: I have two mail accounts, an iCloud and an Office365. On a whim, I deleted Contact from the O365 account in Internet Accounts, and Contacts now works fine. OK for me, since I keep all my contacts on iCloud.

how does one turn on shared name and photo? sharing off... Can't find where to turn it on...
My other apple devices its turned on... iMessages its turned on and functioning properly, just under contacts where this is on my card. BTW I'm running macOS 26 beta 2.

Thanks

Photos corrupts the photo adustments to the point of them being unusable, and still unusable if exporting to the desktop, though syncing to my iphone they seem ok, so seems like something local to the mac photos app.... (i0s26 is something else entirely - dozens of bugs so far)

I was actually able to fix it using this method. I removed my O365 and turned on iClouid. That brough back the Contact App screen. Then, while in Contacts, I turned back on O365 and that brought back my contacts. Then while still in Contacts, I removed my iCloud account and all was fixed. I opened and closed Contacts several times with only my O365 account enabled and everything was working. Apple really needs to fix this.
