Issues that stay in Untested for 3 releases (beta or smooth) will be removed from all future threads. When there is a new macOS release, please be sure to let us know about the issue's status by moving it to either "Remaining Issues" or "Resolved Issues"

Does anyone know if CVE-2025-43300 was patched in this or any of the previous MacOS 26 Beta's? I can't find anything in the patch notes.

We will find out once Tahoe releases, unless this was patched in a Sequoia update then it is patched because of merging git repositories.

I'm hoping this one fixes my dock deciding it wants to autohide after X amount of time.

I updated to this & then had an update to Office 365. I'm on the Beta there as well. After the update, Outlook was in the new (crappy) version. I tried to revert back to legacy but it will not revert. I found a post on a Microsoft support site about it & the person there said to change from Beta back to Current. I tried that but I get an error with some Silverlight plugin which stops the check. However, the post also said that Legacy outlook will be permanently retired in October.
This is the article, if anyone cares:

I just had the update on MS 365 (Beta channel as well) and it's version 16.102, which should be the equivalent pf October 2025 Office in Windows. I would't expect legacy mode to work at all from now on, if it's been confirmed to be EOL in October.

Well that's a bummer. I hate the new Outlook layout.

I guess I have to search for another email program.

My M3 MacBook Air is locked up. It’s behaving a lot like a memory leak / RAM overload, where the UI doesn’t work except after a delay.

I got Activity Monitor to open and there is no RAM leak. I haven’t had any issues like this with DB1-8 but this is severe. Not sure yet what I’ll do about it. I already force-restarted once. Even the mouse is wonky and glitching out.

we had a client with the same issue, escalated through our MS support contract and they sent us Microsoft_Outlook_16.100.25082415_Updater.pkg which worked to "downgrade/upgrade" our client back to a working legacy version.

Strange, My M3 MacBook Air has been running flawlessly on Tahoe (jumped on on the 4th public beta).

I have however been having issues with my M2 Max Mac Studio, where randomly and for no reason it will kernel panic and the left half of my monitor will go black. I have to force restart the machine. Unfortunately Apple doesn't let you run diagnostics on beta versions so I'll have to wait until the public release to test that. I'm not going to spend the time wiping this system (either for a clean install of a beta or back to Sequoia) only to install the final version in a week or two. This issue only happens every 3-5 days. But it never happened on Sequoia in the year I've had this machine, it has been rock solid. Very frustrating.

We are back to a b build number. I think we won't see a RC next week.
All the b means is that this is the second version of 25A5351. Popular to contrary belief, it doesn't mean how "stable" the software is, and a LOT of YouTubers will tell you this.

The B says that Apple saw something and they had to make a second version of this build.

Lucky. It doesn't sound like anyone else has a lock-up issue either. Later I will investigate if it's something I have installed, maybe a Menu Bar app.

Everything seems to be running fine on M4 MacBook Air. However I noticed that Ice, the menu bar organizer app crashes upon opening. Really liking the design of Tahoe.
There are a number of issues that need to be worked out for Ice (you can see issues logged at GitHub). They have a beta version out that worked with early Tahoe betas but I'm not sure if it works with the current ones. I imagine that they will have a proper release around the time of the Tahoe launch.

This is one of a few apps that I am paying attention to and will not upgrade to Tahoe until it is sorted out.

My freezing UI issue might've been due to the Bartender 6 test version. For now I've quit using it.

Edit: And apparently someone else did experience this; I should've read the apps compatibility list! "Bartender 6 (Alpha 4) - Slows down the Mac as if eating an extreme amount of CPU. Notified developer."

Hi! I am trying to use the spotlight search. When I opened spotlight, if I didn't find what I needed in the list, I used to be able to click on the "Open in finder" in prior versions of Mac OS's. I really like this feature and have been using it for years. After researching online, it doesn't look like this is an option any more. Am I correct, or is there a setting I need to chage. I use this way to search multiple times a day, so any help would be greatly appreciated! I especially use it to search for and open installed applications I have (I have 92 applications right now that I don't want on my dock)
