It looks like they fixed the bookmarks header and back button disappearing from the sidebar in full screen Safari, although I still don't like the wasted space and the depth order makes no sense.

Not that I use it, but it's still broken when "Always Show Toolbar in Fullscreen" is off and the toolbar is hidden, including the header is missing again. Easily avoided from a setting few if any people use, but still embarrassingly broken.

Still showing the wrong USB drive icon. 🙄

One major step backwards for me through the entire beta period has been the graphics performance while my external 27“ LG monitor is connected. Exposé is constantly stuttering like hell. This has never been a problem with all previous macOS versions. It’s „okay“ but ugly to look at. 😕

I've upgraded from Sequoia to Tahoe beta 9 and the new Apps app is only showing around half of my installed applications. If I want to see all of them I have to go via Finder. Is this a known issue?

Also, is there a way to remove all the iPhone apps that are mixed in with my Mac's apps?

Fixed the missing apps by forcing Spotlight to reindex.

Still no updates displayed in the App Store. LMAO
FWIW, I use an app called MacUpdater that can run and show a list of available updates, and then you can click to update them.. I've used it for a while now and it works great..

Anyway, for App Store apps, the Update option just takes you to the Mac App Store page for that app, and then in the App Store, it'll change from Open to Update.. That's been the only way I've been able to update my apps as they're not showing under updates.

Aaaaaaaand I just went to grab a link for you and it looks like they're shutting down support of their app! BOOO..
Could be like the same thing that happened to the Bartender app.

have used macupdater for years, great with apps from the app store, and everything else. will miss it 😔

EDIT: checking out trashme3, a pretty-comprehensive app that also monitors for app updates 👍

I used to update directly from https://www.macupdate.com/. A couple of years ago, one of their updates was infected. I had to erase the disk and recreate it. That's why I have backups 👍 I informed MacUpdate of the issue, and they acknowledged it and apologized. From then on, I just use MacUpdate as a resource and download directly from the appropriate website. I also use https://mac.softpedia.com/index.shtml, again as a resource.

I was reporting this since beta 1 with no luck at all, outside of looking weird, if you go into bookmarks you just can't go back to tabs. (for whatever reason they have deleted the icons to do so on the bottom of the sidebar)

Tahoe is not bad but I've been seeing a lot of lag while using Youtube on Firefox and just general overall sluggishness within the UI on my M1 Macbook Pro.

I've noticed some excessive battery drain at certain times when using Safari. However nothing major, and I would say I am mostly impressed with the OS so far. I know it's not coming out for another month though most likely.

It's not release ready, it won't be out until probably October.
No its coming out in September as macOS Sonoma and Sequoia both released in September, Sequoia was alongside iOS.

Apple hasn't announced the release timing to my knowledge, but it seems likely that it will release alongside iOS 26, perhaps next week. We might get OS release dates tomorrow, soon after they do the iPhone hardware announcements. iOS 26 must release before the next batch of iPhones (which will have it as the shipping OS).

(Note, Sequoia had a simultaneous release with iOS, but Sonoma did not, it released a week or so later.)
