Damn! I thought all Radeon RX560 were the same...... There are two used "AMD RX560 MSI RX 560 AERO ITX 4G OC Radeon 4Gb GDDR5 PCIe 16x" selling on eBay. Can someone out there assure me that it's compatible with macOS High Sierra and my other ATI Radeon HD 5770 graphics card ?

I use OS 10.6, (Snow Leopard) and that is not supported by the MSI Radeon Card. I can use BOTH cards, and have no problems at all. I use the option in Displays called "Arrangments" to swtich between GPU's

...I actually read the article: that's why I bought the XFX Radeon RX 560 (!!): I thought all Radeon RX 560 were equal. To make it short, I need 6 monitors (6 outs) for my trading activities. (I have 2x 5770 cards at the moment). I also need to be able to switch very often from the Mac to the PC environment (have Windows 10 on a Mac partition) ---the trading softwares I use work only on PCs. If I can keep my Boot Screen, I'd be very happy, because it's easier! But I also need a new graphics card (at least 4GB) for some new 3D activities, a card that would use no ore than a 6-pins connection for power consumption (remember: 6 displays!). Finally, I don't want to spend to much money now because I might decide to buy a new machine in a near future. Any suggestions?

I'm sorry. I had no idea that everyone, no matter how much money they have, should buy a new computer. Here I thought I was being clever in upgrading my machine so at least it could use Mojave. Now I find out that doing this is stupid.

it is not necessary to buy a new computer, but a cMP that runs actively, stable and secure with highsierra and mojave, but with an almost 10 year old system and on the other hand to upgrade with newer technology.

and it is in no way stupid to upgrade a 4,1/5,1 with current components, if the system and programs are adapted accordingly.

long life of the cMP!

Not sure I get what you mean exactly... Serious? Ironic? On my part, I'm trying hard to find a way to upgrade. Old cMPs sell for a lot of money on eBay. But PC people seem to have much fun with 3D softwares like Blender. And I don't with my cMP. (So far.)

Since much of my productivity software ONLY runs on Snow Leopard, I have no idea what you're talking about. The MIS Radeon Card works flawlessly with my existing 5700 card. I can now run Mojave, High Sierrra, Snow Leopard and for some really old software, Leopard. I have four partitions and can boot between them.

Well.... Maybe I didn't get it 'cause English is not my first language... One think is sure, I didn't ask to be called names.... I just wanted to know if someone knew the reasons why my "XFX Radeon RX 560" didn't work under HS, and if the "AMD RX560 MSI RX 560 AERO ITX 4G OC Radeon 4Gb GDDR5 PCIe 16x" would be, this time, the right pick. I understand you have no idea, which is fine.

I've said Over and Over that I NEED Snow Leopard. I CAN'T afford new versions of my software for later OS's. Will your suggested cards run Snow Leopard?

No they Will Not.

As for names? You suggested I was pretty stupid for not upgrading to cards which Are of no use to me at all, especially since the cards I AM using work perfectly. And without the 57 hundred card I CAN'T run Snow Leopard.

Dear sir.... If you read back the forum, you would realize that I was NOT the one commenting on your issue. I was asking question at large. Sorry.

...Need help again!!!

I finally bought a MSI Radeon RX 560 card for my cMP 5,1 under HS. And I decided to downsize from 6 to 4 monitors for a while. I replaced one of my 2 Radeon HD 5770 cards with the RX 560 and everything is working just fine (so far) under HS.

But a problem arises the moment I switch to my Windows partition. Under Windows 10, the monitor connected to the RX 560 works fine but I have a problem with the 3 other monitors connected to my HD 5770. I uninstalled the previous drivers, downloaded new ones: same problem. I rebooted without drivers: same problem: the image on the monitor with the RX 560 behaves as expected (display, resolution), but only 2 of my 3 monitors connected to the HD 5770 are working, and the resolution is downgraded to the basic. On top of that, the two are acting as one (as a mirror). The 3rd doesn't show any image. It's like the 2 cards don't want to work side by side under Windows 10.

Any idea to help me with that problem? Anyone?

Try "Microsoft basic display" driver for your 5770 (I can't rememer exact wording, but should be something similar)

...Not working. Unfortunately.
So far, I've tried every versions of the Radeon HD 5770 drivers I could put my hand on, along with at least 3 versions of the Radeon RX 560 drivers. Couldn't find a fit. Very frustrating. Microsoft Basic Display works... but with only one display. This is not what I need. Thanks anyway.
