I just tested my iPad with Safari and logged into my account. CPU was 4.6 - 8.9 With tracking turned off and ads allowed etc. CPU usage got as high as 29%. before going back down. Not having these issues on my M1 MacBook, only iOS/iPadOS, hmmmm 🤔
What can be done about this? 🤔I just tested my iPad with Safari and logged into my account. CPU was 4.6 - 8.9 With tracking turned off and ads allowed etc. CPU usage got as high as 29%. before going back down.
Arn said they are investigating what is causing the CPU usage. What can be done about this? 🤔
Thank you for the technical support Mr Apple Roberto 🤓🙏Arn said they are investigating what is causing the CPU usage.![]()
My iPad Pro gets quite warm when on the forums here after a few min. Glad they’re looking into it.I just tested my iPad with Safari and logged into my account. CPU was 4.6 - 8.9 With tracking turned off and ads allowed etc. CPU usage got as high as 29%. before going back down.
One does simply not use macrumors on slide over mode 😳😂I’m using iPad Pro 2021 11” and I rarely see any slowdown or massive battery drain when visiting MR. I mostly use it on slide over mode though. Rarely browse MR on full screen mode.
Probably. One does simply not use macrumors on slide over mode 😳😂
Think they need to build a more efficient website and forum 🤔
Hopefully it gets fixed soon, starting to get battery drain like a Samsung exynos 2100 chip 🤦♂️If I were Admin here (I happened to run a Xenforo board), I would start by disabling any plugins. I notice they have "Accessibility assistive technology" at the top. Not suggesting they permanently disable that as it's obviously very important, but I'd start by temporarily disabling that just to eliminate it as a possibility. If no change, then it's either one or more plugins causing the problem or possibly advertising hooks.
Same here, amazing forum, but this needs to get sorted out asap, can't be good for our devices and their batteries.I've often cited this forum as one of the best; even referred the design and amazing functionality/GUI to other forum-type sites. I hope they figure this out!
One shouldn't have to choose a different browser or get a ad blocker to use this forum, honestly reckon they need to rebuild the whole site, make it more efficient and cut back on these damn ads. my phone got that hot last night and battery was draining like no tomorrow, I ended up logging out of these forums 🥺You guys with drain problem, what happened if You use like Firefox instead?
myself I get the problem on my 8plus but not on my ipad mini 5 with safari. both running 14.6.
Yep, noticed the same issues for quite a while when typing here, must be a few months now it feels like I have been experiencing when typing here. When I type in a text box, like this one I’m using right now to type a post, or when I reply to a user, the experience is extremely buggy.
first of all, when I finish a paragraph and create a space between a paragraph like I just did right now, the caps lock automatically turn off when I reach the second space. Look how the first word of this paragraph is lowercase. Auto caps do turn on, but when I hit “return” twice, it turns off.
secondly, auto correct is a mess. I’m writing a and QuickType is showing me two words merged together in a jumbled mess, however what I’m writing on the text box shows something completely different from QuickType.
next, it seems auto correct is correcting the wrong word? Or random words are being typed in and I have to go back and fix it.
and by the way, all these issues seem to happen only on MacRumors forums. Does anyone else have this issue?
