Yes clay nice pad, the two things that strike me as out of place would be the miniblinds (you know better) and the Le Corbusier chairs? They're lovely but so cliche. DWR.com has designer furniture at really good prices, if you got something with more curves in it, it would greatly accent the glass pieces you've collected... Ah, listen to me criticize, considering I've barely just begun collecting furniture... which is why I don't post pics: Cute stuff mixed with folding chairs ;)

Hey, Clay --

I wonder if you've ever heard of my old friend from high school Greg Owen. I just heard that he's some kind of swankified glass artist because of our 20th reunion coming up and I wanted to know just how swankified he really is.
Absolutely... I've seen his glass at William Traver Gallery and Vetri Glass in Seattle. He's not upper echelon by any means (his prices are still sub-$5,000), but he's good enough to be represented by one of the most well-respected glass galleries in the world (Traver).

If you see him, tell him I said hi (he doesn't know me) and send him to my web site. I'd love to acquire one of his works at some point.

Well, the miniblinds are actually wood slats and they weren't cheap... mostly I chose them because they're simple enough not to bother me (I hate fancy window treatments) and they fit my white/black/wood/metal/glass decorating philosophy.

The Le Corbusiers I chose for the same reason... very simple forms, and they're classic (cliché doesn't have to be a bad thing).

My main deal was that I didn't want the furnishings to detract from or clash with the art in any way.

My crib is still a work in progress as I just moved into this new apartment recently, but here is how it looks thusly:

First you walk in the front door and look to the left:

Then glance to the right:

Then the view from the dining room to the living room:

The view from the far end of the living room by my balcony door:

The view from my comfy recliner:

The kitchen:

The rest of the place is covered in the next post...

Nice QTVR!

Nice aquarium!
Thanks! The aquarium is a 55 gallon. My first big tank. Had it for about a year. I have 8 Lake Malawi African Cichlids. Very territorial. Fun to watch! Regarding the QTVR - I do that on the side for realtors to make some extra bucks. Figured I'd throw up a quick and dirty one to show off my crib :D

Here's the basement of our townhouse. It's not quite as tidy as it used to be before our son came along....

I'll have to clean up tomorrow! :p

Given the forecast for rain all weekend, this might be a good chance for me to fall into an organization frenzy. Re-alphabetize the DVD and game collections, straighten the cord jungle behind the iMac, dust the Matrix figures, take the laundry off the coatrack, er treadmill. :D
I feel like no matter what I do, my 16 year old is just going to breeze through like a tornado, leaving crumbs, dishes and flip-flops in her wake. And then there's the Little Guy...

Very nice pictures Cooknn, Deefuzz, and powermac666. I'm impresses with all of your humble abodes. So very clean and neat, I'm jealous. Also like the nice fish tank. All of you have a nice computer setup and entertainment center. The QTVR is awesome Cooknn, sure that it impresses the clients. ;)

I have to leave for Florida on Sunday (grrrr), so no relaxing weekend for me, but I will try and clean up a bit and post pics. Hopefully, .Mac will be a little more cooperative than it is being tonight. :D

Thanks! The gig is growing pretty fast and I'm starting to get nervous. There's only so much time on lunch breaks and weekends. I need to find another photographer quick
