And I guess that does look wierd. The tissues are there for my stupid nose, which has been stuffy for the last 3 days. Also, the lotion is there so my skin isn't, uh......something. lol

Good recovery there. :D

Great looking room. So big! I recently visited my sister, who still lives in the family home. I was taken back at just how little space I had growing up. I swear I have seen walk-in closets bigger than what I had when I "lived" in that room. I'll venture a guess that it is something like 8x10 in size. And my own bathroom. forgetaboutit!. Not ranting, it is that the house I grew up in was built back in the late 40's early 50's.

Hope to post in the next two weeks my "crib". Still trying to consolidate 14+ years and three bedroom TH (owned) into a 800 sq. ft. one bedroom apartment. Lucky for me my management will allow me to change some lighting fixtures and the such. They'll even store the old fixtures for me. Too bad they weren't like an apartment complex lived in the DFW area, they had dye-able carpets. Though beige can be nice.

Need to get that cable in some trunking ;), and this (already in the setup thread - but I'm excited! I've been without my own room for months!!!!)
You really need to run the cables to the TV behind the wall. All you need to do is cut two holes... one behind the TV, and one lower down, and then run the cable behind the wall so that the TV just floats there.

Not a bad idea... but then if you decide to rearange/move... you've got to deal with 2 big holes in the wall.

Just so you know it is against code almost everywhere to run the standard electric cord on a tv behind a wall. (big fire hazard)

To do it right, you need to run the proper wiring and put a recessed outlet behind the TV. Then plug into the outlet.

I can't tell from the pic if is is electric cord or just video/audio hanging down there. AV cables are fine to run behind the wall.

Ah, you're right. In my setups, the cables behind the wall are all non-power cables.

Yeah room sizes sure have gotten bigger since I lived in my first house. My bedroom went from a 12x12 in my last house to a 14x14. I don't think I could go any smaller with all the stuff I have in my room. In the next house, I might have a bigger room but the size I have now is perfect. Room for everything.

Hope that the radiator that the printer is sitting on is for decoration only.

lol... well sence its a seperate connection... (becuase its a porch on the back of the house that was boxed in) it has it seperate on and off turn thing and that broke at the off postion so that radiator doesn't work... otherwise I wouldn't melt my printer to death ;)

14x14 !!! My main room is (approx) 11x11 and the small room is 11x6.

so you have 196 sq ft and I have 187 sq ft... so thats not much of a difference. thats not includeing my closet which is about 12 (Old house have big closets... what can I say) BTW, I dont have my own bathroom... all 5 of us share one shower (its a nightmare in the morning! :p )

There are some really nice cribs here guys. Some of them are totally Apple in design, simple, powerful and effective!

Unfortuntately my room is the width of a double bed, and about 3/4 foot longer! But I quite like our living room and dining room, although the carpet could do with a change! Will post pictures later.

I can only hope I can afford some of the lovely homes some of you have (and the design sense to furbish them!) :p

A very nice pad clayj, I'm impressed. Everything is very neat and tidy. My wife and I are art collectors also. Is it all original art work, any of it done by you personally? ;)

Always neat and tidy, tidy and neat. :)

All original art work, only three things done by me (small glass objects with which I had a LOT of help).

Thanks! I love it, too. :)

I did everything myself EXCEPT for the dining room chairs... my Mom saw them and said they'd work. I wasn't so sure, but got 'em anyway. She was right.

I like them... I think I would like them better if the seats were black... but they fit in.
