Just looked at the swanky pad there clay, did ya get all that glass at world bazar or TJ Max? :p

I think I would look real good drinking a beer in there, except for the paranoia of knocking something over. Knowing you live so close to the Panthers Stadium, does anything ever shake after a touchdown?

Do you subscribe to the windex scent of the month club? :p

That sure is awesome though, when you have kids you will have to lock the glass away, or the kids though.

Lots of different art galleries... a few things directly from the artists themselves.

It's actually pretty safe here... the fragile glass is up and out of the way. Some of the glass is so solid and heavy that it would pulverize your foot, were you to drop it. No shaking from the stadium (I'm always AT the stadium when the Panthers are playing), but there is a rut in the street out front that causes some minor shaking from time to time when a bus or truck goes past quickly.

When you come down here, we'll get a pic of us together for the benefit of the forum. :)

If I ever have kids, it will be a minor miracle. (Got to get married first... which means I have to get engaged... which means I have to get a girlfriend... and I can't even find anyone to go with me to Coldplay tomorrow... ugh).

Nope, I'm about 0-for-16 on this... it's crazy that I can't find anyone who wants to go and is actually able to. And this is a $70 ticket... 15th row from the stage. Rock-throwing distance to Chris Martin, if one were so inclined.

shame!

I've just re-read this thread and want to say - wow, your pad is very cool looking and you've a lot of interesting art glass. Looks like we've got a fairly similar taste in interiors though mine is a little more minimalist - fewer pictures and vases. My "crib" is pure white with a neutral coloured carpet, black leather furniture, glass topped dining table, aluminium chairs etc and i've used little splashes of deep red as an accent colour throughout (e.g. cushions, vases and some Pollock-style canvases i created myself!). I'll try to post photos at some point but need to tidy up first. I also considered the Le Corbusier sofas for my place but then found something else that fit the space better and slightly more comfortable.

oh and i spotted the 'dye sequence' picture that i commented on in another thread. nice.

Gary, I see you too have a Poang chair from IKEA in your living room... I've got one (all black, of course) in my living room by my big windows. Cool chair!

I love that chair - I hardly use our couch.

I've fallen asleep with my iPod and headphones tangled around my neck many times. :D

We are looking for a bigger place - you should see our closet. Plus, I have to make room for some things I will most likely be inheriting (sentimental stuff - my dad's custom-made Swedish teak desk and his big old tanned leather lounge chair.

Thanks, though!

Yeah, the LCs are not the most comfortable in the world... you have to sort of slouch on them.

Here's a larger picture of it:

The artist, Jaq Chartier, lives in Seattle... I found her work at a gallery from which I've acquired quite a bit of glass (Traver). Her work is very cool, very modern and scientific in nature.

Didn't realise from your other posts of your Mac setup that your "study" was that small, you've done well to utillise it! :)

We like it. We got the place because of the fireplace and the small study.

We've totally outgrown it.

Those are beautiful pictures iGary. That's an awesome and very useful place that you have. I'm very partial to a nice fireplace also.
