clayj, I want you to do a show - "The Straight Eye for the Queer Guy"! :) I absolute love the space you created for yourself, as I have said in the past.

Maybe I missed it, but did you do the design work yourself?

A bigger picture of my room. I took about 40 photos on my mobile (cell) phone and put them together. I like the outcome with the lines not matching.

That colour your room is painted is AWESOME. I personally don't know if I could handle that colour for an extended period of time, but it looks great. :)

Heh. I'd do a show, but every environment would come out pretty much the same. :)

And yes, I chose/designed everything myself EXCEPT for my dining room chairs, which my Mom thought would work well (she was right).

- don't forget to check out the flickr notes on the pics :)

It's a good thing you put a comment for what that odd picture box was in the living room, I would of never guessed it was a TV. ;)

I have no problem with that! Love the look! If I did not know better I would think that you were part of the 10%. :D

You are more than welcome to bring your checkbook and your tastes to my place anytime. :)

Don't you mean Queer Eye for the Straight Guy?

Or are you gay?

I like to think that I am a Gay guy trapped in a Straight mans body and thoughts. :)

My Gaydar left me many years ago. :) My closet is filled with photo logo shirts. I have just a few shirts and pants that might be considered "stylish".

Clay has the style that I would love for myself. But never can seem to pull it off myself. :)

Well, you don't know how he dresses, but his space does reek of metrosexuality.

I myself am also a bit of a metrosexual... gay guys who aren't stylish sadden me. :p

Levis' blue jeans (black now, actually), polo shirts, and German or Italian hiking boots/shoes (Asolo or Lowa). Definitely geekwear.

And Cory, yes, I've met Bill a couple of times. And Steve Ballmer. And I worked on a project with Steven Sinofsky, the VP who's in charge of Office, to document how Office applications retained metadata and how to remove said metadata from your documents... that was way back in early 1999.

Little but cozy..at least I think

Well this is my house in Eastern Canada. Very quaint and cozy to my eyes. I plan to do some more work with it this summer. I did all the decorating myself....lol...I know its terrible...Cheers

quicksilver77, loving the house but why have you got a PeeCee driving both of those displays??? At least hook another one up to your iMac.

Just moved into a new place so everything's looking a bit bare at the moment (will all look very different on Friday though when the new sofas arrive! )

Anyway, my new living room:

Seeing all these pictures makes me antsy to get settled into our own place. For the most part our furniture in our current apartment is a hodge podge of free and cheap stuff (we love craigslist and IKEA) mixed in with a few things we will probably keep after we settle in somewhere. A fair amount of furniture/books/whatever is still in storage at my sister's house in UT. We'll only bring it out after we know where we're going to be when the hubby finds a job. :D

The pics here give us some good ideas, though, for when we really do decorate! Thanks everyone!
