Hey man, I met Ron Athey a few years ago. I'm not into the whole body mod thing, but he was one of the coolest people I've ever met. It's kind of amazing when you see somebody hang from hooks on the ceiling and then pull them out of his back. He was a really nice guy. http://www.ronathey.com/

Well, Ron is tattooed from head to toe. A lot of people I know like to do the earlobe thing as well and nipple piercing and such. It seems to be a progression. I'm not being judgmental. Everyone has his/her thing.

Ive never been into the piercing thing.. Had my tongue pierced when i was like 17 or something but took it out a long time ago.. some of that stuff TO ME is borderline "freak".
and i know someone could say the same thing about me with all the tat2's..
Whatever. I just see it all as brave. You are showing the world who you are in the most honest way possible. Good for you.

It drives me crazy how now days all these kids are so wrapped up in The Hills and other programs like that. Those kind of programs is whats destroying society! I dont know if your on Myspace but this is my "about me" section:
I'm a simple person really. I dont give a f*ck about your Coach, Gucci, Prada, or your $200 jeans. Those things are not what life is about. Those are things we can all live with out but everyones so caught up in The Hills and sh*t like that. I'm happy watching the sunset with a Bud Light in my hand. How much did that cost? A dollar!? Just like in the movie Blow where George's dad tells him "Money isnt real" He's right. Money cant buy everything. Money cant buy a beautiful sunset or the ocean or unconditional love that your pet can give you. Yes Im a total animal lover and do anything I can to help out animals. I'd kill a person before an animal. Most animals dont ask to be in these situations they are put in. I also love cheese and the ocean more than anything.
Let all of that go. What really makes us happy is pursuing what we love. Some people are good at making art. Some people are good at making money. Some people are good at making furniture. We all have a purpose. We can't all be the same. But we are all needed in some way. We are all needed to make the world work. Look a bit outside your own sphere, and realize that all of us are helping in some way.
And of course, there are bad apples in every bunch. That doesn't mean that any one profession is all bad or all good.
