You guys are trying to make sense out of a random off-topic comment I foolishly made, about it being 1372 in Los Angeles. If you need me to rationalize it, I'll say.... um..., that it's an octal number and the units are deciKelvins. I think that comes out to 91 degrees Fahrenheit, which was the temperature around midnight in some areas around here. So I can pretend it was intended to be precise all along.

Here's a good place to put a cross-reference to the Wacky units of measurement thread!

I think everyone in California knew exactly what you meant. This heat wave is terrible. :(

I just figured you were rounding down to a nice even number. Either that or it's cooler there than here (SFV at the moment). Remind me again why I left WA? It's only about 987 degress there right now.

Er, I think I'm measuring in rankines. Or reaumurs. I forget which.

I kinda like the summer heat in cali

works up a great tan

but getting in the car can be quite an obstacle

I find I have to go out to my car, and open it for a few seconds. During this period, I can entertain myself I see all the heat wave stuff come flowing out of my car. I then decide to suck it up and get in and turn it over. Unfortunately, putting the air conditioner all the way up tends to not be good for my contacts...in fact, I can't drive with the window down.

I was nearly there!

This is a photo of me and my family (brother, mom, dad, and cousin) near the summit of Pike's Peak while we were in Colorado last month. I'm the one shivering with the blue polo shirt on. :D

you look like a dog joke!!
Lola is indeed the dog's name (I learned that from another thread), so the big question is whether Lola is also the MacRumors member or it's her owner who is posting doing the posting! :D

After a considerable amount of pondering, I have realized what is better than popped collars. My findings? Popped collars and plaid shorts! Sorry for the low res pics.

you are a prime example of the people i hate.

sounds sort of ignorant. you hate people before you actually get to know them because of the clothes they wear -_-

Jesus of Nazerith... I will be in the corner of my closet crying my eyes out and eating my feelings. :( :( :( (why is there no crying smiley?)

I always thought plaid shorts were retarded. The first time I saw them I thought the guy was wearing oversized boxers.

Excuse my use of the word "retarded"... The Arc might come and get me. They even changed their name so that it wouldn't have the word "retard" in it anymore.

Even though I would never wear them myself... they arent that bad. I mean seriously, there are much worse things that you can wear that are out there. Trust me.

I went to a Kinky Friedman rally today.
Took a picture with him and got a button signed and a bumpersticker for Max_hyundai.

It was about 300° out there. it was so gross.
Someone asked Kinky what he was going to do about the Houston humidity. :D
