This is a pretty old picture now (and not a very good one)... like a year. I need a new one. But for now this is all you get.

Something about my forehead looks weird in that picture... Maybe I moved or something.

There's a likely reason for that. All your life, you've seen yourself in the mirror or in photos (or videos), but never really "in person". If the version you're most used to is the one in the mirror, then you think of your mirror image as how you look and the rest of us see the reverse. So you look "weird" to yourself in photos and "correct" in the mirror.

People who part their hair on one side are most likely to notice this effect. Ask them to draw a cartoon of themselves and notice which side they put the hair part on.

It's the same thing listening to a recording of your voice. You usually hear it inside your own head, which is not how it sounds to others. That voice on the answering machine is what you really sound like!

I experienced that many times when taping report for the next shift. It shocked me the first time I heard my own voice. Didn't like the sound of my voice. So would try to get our of taping at every opportunity.

So true. I hate the sound of my own voice. I sound like a school girl in taped recordings, although in my head, I sound like a stud-muffin. And I can't quite get myself to look at me in pictures, it's just too traumatic. I believe each picture taken steals a little of your soul, until you become like those soul-less cover models who are vapid and ice cold.

I wanted a 20d, but could not justify the price. But, I loooove the new XT. (despite the smaller size). I use it with a Tamron 28-75mm, and it produces very sharp images. I could not be any happier. (except if i had the 20D) :D

yeah, that price difference sucks.

i use a 10D with a Tamron here at work. Decent lens. A Sony 828 would be better suited for what we do here though (that rotating lens can come in handy for awkward shooting). ;)
