gee i dont know of people are still posting pics

well i've been lurking for a long time... so this is me on the left and my godsis on the right. im looking wonky since im a tad really drunk in this picture.

i should have put a little more effort into this pic with a healing brush (darn eyebaggies...)

i suppose this is a good way to introduce myself to the forum and get a little more involved.

Thanks for the pic little-pea, and no worries about the pic, it's all good.

So whereabouts in this great country do you live?

Aw, that's nothing a little dose of Photoshop couldn't take care of! :p

Besides, we're not that shallow. Just put Steve's face on your body...

LOL - I should be able to find something...perhaps a picture of me finishing my 11th marathon! I may be a fat ass, but I can run 26.2 miles! :p

I remember a previous post of yours with one of your marathon pics in it - that was great! Feel free to post another one any time. You're right, not just anyone can run a marathon - it's an impressive feat requiring a lot of physical and (perhaps moreso!) mental conditioning.

I've been to many a Stampede over the years, as Calgary is quite convenient for me. So are you participating in the festivities yourself? Planning on being in a state similar to that of your pic? ;)

No laughing.

Not laughing, question actually. I'm curious, that ring you have on your right hand....any significance or just a ring you happen to be wearing?

That three-ring inter-twine ring is a common French style wedding band....but seeing it on your right hand makes me wonder....

It's my "wedding" band - I've been "married" to my "partner" for five years.

Takes a lot of quotes to explain that. :D

No more marathons, Shard - I have back surgery coming up unfortunately. It's OK, though. I think I'm going to take up long distance biking. :)

I'll scan one of my last marathon photos in for fun, though. ;)

Sorry to hear that iGary. I hope your surgery goes well, as I know a few people who have had it done and it can be quite the ordeal sometimes. :( That's awesome about taking up biking though, I really enjoy it myself - it's a great activity to take part in.

Wedding band, on right hand ring-finger? Perhaps just unique or preferred in this case, that or I missed a cultural movement....what gives?

Some cultures do wear the ring on their right hand. It's also the hand that left handed people prefer to wear rings on (I believe).

Did not know that about the cultural thing, although I have heard of a few lefties wearing it on the right hand.

I guess in my ignorance I always just assumed it was a left-handed thing, regardless of preference. Like a watch, always on the left hand (curse you right-wristed watch bearers!)

I've never been able to wear a watch on my left wrist, I hate it, but I don't really know why!

Always worn it on the right, and I'd rather go without than wear it on the left!

Weird eh!
