oh and iBlue, from all the pictures that i have seen you are a very beautiful woman, don't put yourself down.

no one should put themselves down. we are here for support, and we shouldn't make fun of others here either (not saying that it has happened).

its amazing to see how many have posted since the beginning of this thread.

thanks guys... we are always our own worst critics, i can't help myself. :p

haha, that jump wasn't too bad, i've jumped off of far "worse", (about 3 times higher actually) i think i have a bit of an adrenaline problem. :D ...always looking for something to entertain myself; my mother has called me her "little jock" since i was a kid, i guess i have to accept that she's probably right :p

Risky enough?

We have different genes too. For example, I didn't get the showtunes gene and certainly not the diva gene- I hate Cher. :)

I got a few of the genes, I think everyone does, but it drives me nuts when someone embodies every gay stereotype. C'mon, there's just too many of us to all be the same :). But on that note, I totally got the showtune gene :p.

And just to keep my post on topic - here's a picture of me and my sister being goofy on a vacation to LA:

edit - I should find a picture of me diving, since everyone is posting themselves jumping off things and all =p. I used to dive for a prenational team up till I was 13. I dove recreationally for 2 years and competitively for 3, then quit because I wasn't having much fun anymore. Competitive divers spend more time in the gym than in the water :(.

This the only somewhat good pic that I had on my iBook... Dang I needed a hair cut... Once I get my school pic and if it looks good I'll post it... I dont feel like taking a pic of myself cause 1. I'm in my PJs, and 2. Self pics always turn out horrible.

Thanks, I think. ;) Skydiving is on my to-do list as well. As well as more bungee jumps.

Well, here's my thing- I like to take calculated risks. Last time I checked bungee jumping wasn't regulated at all, though it could be now. Skydiving has been around for decades, so you kind of know all the risks going in. What I mean to ask is-are there now certain safety standards as far as bungee jumping is concerned?

And I think in a word, the answer to your question is "No". ;) Yeah, I know, probably not the safest thing (you definitely want to make sure they read your weight right!) but I can't be too picky about risk levels and safety if I'm willingly jumping off a bridge in the first place. ;)

Plus, I'm a lifetime member now (and have the card to prove it!) at the AJ Hackett jump in Naniamo, BC (the second official one built in the world, is that a good thing?) so I have to make good use out of the discount I get!

You could be an agent for Men in Black, nightdweller25.

Hey, I've been to Nanaimo! Next time, I'll check out Bungyzone.

I've taken photos as a friend bungie jumped, but haven't ventured up there myself. I see it spelled bungy, bungee, and bungie, and all three look equally death-defying! :)

Very cool! Yes, I recommend checking it out - great fun! If that's your sort of thing of course... ;)

And then if you're as crazy as I am, they just might give you one of these: (I think there is some irony associated with the expiry date and the nature of the activity...)
