We have different genes too. For example, I didn't get the showtunes gene and certainly not the diva gene- I hate Cher. :)

I think that a lot of people don't realize that; a musician/artist/group isn't anything truly "special" until you see them live-- then you realize whether or not they have that special "it."

Don't get me wrong- Cher is great actress and a good performer. I just think her music stinks. If she could back up her show with good music, well then, that would be a different thing.

Haha, what about that one song w/ Sonny... er... "I Got You Babe." ;) :D And I hope you didn't feel personally attacked w/ my previous post; it was meant as an observation because I once naively thought, "Why the heck do people spend $X on concert tickets, food, drinks, merchandise, and CDs for artists?!"

Then I went to my first concert... and now I'm hooked. There is nothing, nothing, like seeing a true artist live. I "get it" now... people buy CDs to try to evoke those same feelings again. I also now understand why live versions sell well.

Thought i would finally post a pic of myself. This was taken at the formal, im the tall one on the left. No laughing, i hate looking at images of myself.

For somebody at a formal, you don't look like you have a genuine smile on your face! ;) Didn't get to go w/ the date of your choice?! :D

Oh no- I didn't feel attacked at all. BTW- I go to live shows all the time. I live in Chicago and can walk to The Aragon Ballroom, The Riviera Theater and The Green Mill Lounge. The Vic and The Metro are a 5 minute bus ride-don't know if you've been here, but those are all great live music venues. A month doesn't usually go by without seeing some sort of live performance.

I guess I should call them braces, but I always seem to refer to it as a brace.. I dunno.

I was gonna ask you the same thing bousozoku did, but I am glad you were just talking about Braces.

For a moment, I thought you had a nasty interaction with a sand castle or something!

Good to hear that bousozoku and my fears were mistaken! :D

I dunno either. When I saw the photo and the word brace, it brought back a memory. I remember a diver at my high school who wore a back brace and it looked quite painful.

Nice Bell bottoms !

:D

Yeah, I have no life... Good pics though, I need to get someone to take some shots of me, my little phonecam shot needs to be replaced. :(

Ha-ha! Yes- that's my old high school's victory bell. We would ring it when we won sporting events, which was semi-frequent. :)
