Synapse88 did a great job of showing with a spreadsheet the benefits of the various jobs (btw, synapse, in the Torch Rival's Field, you based your calcs off the experience and not the energy).
I've taken that a bit further and averaged the total earnings from each job instead of having a high and low payout amounts. Then I calculated the rankings (1 being the best) of the jobs by their energy/experience and energy/payout, giving me two numbers that I averaged together to get the average ranking and a final overall rank.
If you're interested in the numbers, the chart is attached to this post.
So the outcome is as follows:
If you're only interested in CASH: "Torch a Rival's Drug Field" is the clear winner.
If you're only interested in EXPERIENCE: "Bank Robbery" is the clear winner.
If you're interested in BOTH and want the best overall jobs to do: "Sink a Transport Ship" is the best bet...
"Take Out an Official" and "Commandeer a Cruiseliner" tie for second place, and...
"Take Cop Ransom" and "Torch Rival's Drug Field" tie for third
