Few months ago I bought these adjustable “weights” bowflex rip off. They sent me a water bottle dumbbell. Looks like a dumbbell but it’s a water bottle advertisement indicates it’s an adjustable weights. Total was $35 give or take. To return it would have cost more than the product itself. What bunch of jerks and PayPal protector. Rules against me!

It snaps nicely on the bare iPhone 12, and they supply a metal ring you can stick to a case that doesn’t have a built-in ring. I sent back my Apple made case, because it was too slippery, and cracked in the first week with my normal amount of dropping that other cases have survived for a year or more.
With the metal ring attached to the *inside* of the cheapo case, it would not snap in place, but with the metal ring attached to the outside of the case, it does snap in place.
I like the flip out stand that’s built in. It works in both portrait and landscape.
Now I’m on the lookout for a non-apple case that has a built-in ring, as I don’t like the feel of the ring on the outside of the case. If anyone has a good recommendation for a clear case with included magsafe ring, please let me know.

Hope it will work well for you. Does the metal ring have to be attached for it to work? Does it magnetically attach to a bare phone without a case?

It requires the metal ring if you use a case that doesn't have one built in. It sticks fine to the bare phone.

I had been using old OISLE style battery bank since iPhone 7. Of course I modified it with adding magnet back to old day. The first one quit working after 2 years usage then I bought the second one. Finally, I realized the fault brick causing it. Now I have 2 old style and thinking to get magsafe bank. BTW, I quit using cable charge my phone directly for years as I fray too cables
I’ve been hoping for this too. Doesn’t seem promising though at least in the near future

I ordered the same thin on Aliexpress yesterday just because I want to test a few different ones.
I ordered the OISLE about 4 Weeks ago on Aliexpress. After about 1 Week the seller messaged me on Whatsapp that the white one is not available at the moment and they would send out black or blue immediately if I want. Originally I wanted a blue one but it was sold out. Long Story short: I received mine yesterday.
I am very happy with it even if the charging is slow. But because of that the phone is not getting hot.
Charging with Powerbank only: 5W
Charging with Powerbank plugged in to an Outlet: Phone 7.5W; Powerbank 18W
Powerbank is charging with 18W.
I got 3 Cables inclided: 1x USB-C to USB-C, 1x USB-A to USB-C and 1x USB-C to Lightning to fast charge your phone with a cable.
I attached a few Pictures with my iPhone 12 Mini with Apple Leather Magsafe Case and without. And also with my primary iPhone 12 Pro Pacific Blue without Case.
The Magnet is strong enough to not fall off itself. But I first had to pull off a clear plastic on the magnets. I didn`t realized that first. I ordered 3 more for my Family and friends and as mentioned also from a different Brand just to compare.
I really hope apple will do a first Party MagSafe Battery Case.

So far this is the best-looking magsafe power bank that I've seen but unfortunately, it's damn expensive (compared to other power banks).
I hope big manufacturers would come up with something even sleeker, that would be great as a way to extend your phone's battery life instead of really recharging it to full.
Unfortunately, no - the magnet isn’t strong enough to snap through a case to a ring on the device. However, fwiw, I just got one of these delivered today (after getting an exchange replacement, since they sent me a non-ring case accidentally the first time). It sticks really well to the battery.
