Major Facebook Update online

I got the App, and the new features are cool... one issue that is bugging the hell out of me, (and the wife who also has the app on a 2g iPhone)

The time is always 7 hours ago even on things which were updated 2 minutes earlier....

has anyone else seen or are experiencing this?

On my laptop it will say updated 2 minutes ago. On the iPhone it said the same thing was updated 5 hours ago. What the heck?

Everything else about the new Facebook app is sweet though.

I have encountered a different bug. My friends list won't load. It's just a blank screen with blank pictures. When I click on one, my facebook crashes.

I'm liking the updated Facebook app. No bugs seen yet from my end, just trying to get used to the new interface.

You need to do in on your PC or Mac

Am I missing something here? To delete messages all you have to do is swipe your finger accross them, the same as you do in Mail.app and most other apps.

So far, I'm not experiencing any of the bugs that have been discussed. Overall, it's much better than v1.0.

it froze the first time i tried to use it. i had to powercycle the phone but now it works as fast as the first release. i'm impressed. now if only myspace would update its app too.

This app doesn't work for me. The application launches fine and I put my username and password it. It is just stuck on "Logging In". The little circle to the left of Logging In goes around and around, but it never logs in. I have tried removing the application and reinstalling it from the apps store. I have also tried changing my password to something shorter on Facebook and still nothing.

Any ideas?

The app is a big improvement, but, still has some bugs and needs more features, like ability to see friends of friends, and add new friends.

But, I find this news about Facebook a lot more worrying...

On first install, the login screen didn't work. Whole screen wouldn't respond to touches. Started it up several times and continued to get the same problem.

I reinstalled and it seems to be working fine now. Other than the bugs with the first install, some nice updates here.

My question is, why are there so many problems with installing apps on the phone? I regularly have to reinstall to rid bugs and make the apps work. I want to update to the 3G version of the phone, but I can't see myself wanting to spend the money when I continue to have so many little problems with mine. Not that I'm totally unhappy with the phone, I love it, but it doesn't make me want to get a new one or spend more money on something that doesn't work as advertised. (Yesterday it mysteriously deleted all numbers from my contacts, then put them back 10 minutes later)

facebook app doesnt upgrade!!!

I've yet downloaded/upgraded the new facebook app onto my iphone 2g. Not by choice, but i keep on receiving errors when i try downloading it both on my phone and on itunes. Does it have to do with my internet connection because i live on my campus dorms and that might be the case.. I dont know, any ideas?

Are you running the latest iPhone software version 2.2, and iTunes version 8.0.2? I haven't seen those errors since I upgraded.

By the way -- wasn't there supposed to be another Facebook update by now? One that fixed the timestamp issues, the non-scrolling inbox, and other stuff? I know there's lots of basic FB things still missing like events, birthdays, and so forth -- but I really just want these bugs fixed first!
