Whenever Apple gets push working, apps like this need to give us notifications on the icon like when you miss an SMS or call. Same goes with the RSS readers. But so far, so suh-weet.

This update was planned to have push assuming push was coming in 2.1...with push being taken out, they just released this without push. But I definitely want push for the Chat :)...once they get Chat to work.

This is one of my favorite apps for the iPhone. I've found the first version to be very stable, simple, and easy to use. Downloading the new version now. Looking forward to some additional functionality! :)

Something not mentioned in the update description...

Start the app, give your phone a shake...

I agree, groups suck, but there's a reason for .1 builds. Groups are a waste of time anyways, even though I'm in about a hundred from when I was bored as a college freshman.

Pretty nice app overall. Haha shake to update.

Hidden Feature

If you shake your phone while in the Facebook app it will update whatever page you are on!

Pretty nice app overall. Haha shake to update.

Me and my closest friends made our own group and use it to chat and organize stuff, so would be a big thing for me :D

Hey could you explain that please? Thanks

On the main Facebook site, click Events at the bottom.

Then click Export Events at the top of the page.

Copy the link it gives you.

Open up iCal, and in the menubar click Calendar > Subscribe. Paste in the URL you got on Facebook.

Your Facebook Events will then be added as a calendar. Now everytime you are invited to an event or state that you are attending one, it will automatically update your iCal calendar and thus your iPhone/iTouch calendar. Really useful.

I had some trouble with it initially... crashed twice shortly after install/login, but then had been a lot better. Seems like it slowed down, in terms of grabbing info, not application speed.

Otherwise, this is certainly a nice update!

v 1 was always kind of spotty...I used the mobile website more. This is a huge, huge improvement, though, and means that I can be fully, effectively, and efficiently distracted from my duties anywhere ATT has service. Kudos

:eek:Can't believe I hadn't thought of this sooner. Really useful is a nice understatement

Yeah its pretty cool and more useful than the Events app in Facebook as you can get alerts before the event as part of the regular calendar app in the iPhone.

Kind of Buggy but still good...

Lots of people were waiting for this update to happen, yours truly included but will it live to its hype???

Like George Carlin accurately said once: Scratch a cynical and you will find a once idealist.

I've been with facebook since the beginning (of the web version) and when they launch the app store I was pleased with the fb app but considering (and by that I mean don't start ********ting me about ur USA or UK abilities) that I am based in U.A.E. (middle east, city = Dubai) I had to settle for a first Gen Ipod touch which considering the scope of this post (not going through all the stuff concerning the Iphone or other Ipod touch services not being launched in here) The FB app upgrade is buggy from the start. Logging in again breaks the news for you of what to expect..

finally apple managed to update APPS in its original screen place and u think u will be happy posting ur status after the upgrade but oh no u have to log in again, no big deal right??? well it is,somehow they managed to make the easiest of functions buggy. Don't get me wrong I do understand all the challenges of updating/maintaining an app or website for this matter, but for all the people that claim that: all is great / fine" stop eating Sh.t and start being honest to yourself, same goes for all subjects.

We (gadget lovers, not only mac fans) are all excited about the new MBs and MBP's release in the subsequent months so let's be true to our expectations and respect the fact that different people need different specs, only APPLE knows what's gonna happen.

We all rant and we all crave but at the end we all buy whatever they sale.

Yes they have to hear us, yes we need this and that, but is not about user "a" against user "b" in this forums so let's go back to reality and demand/hope for the best.

An organized crowd ceases to exist to become a majority

so swallow ur personal crap and become part of a society that is being tainted by non apple ppl just pushing for it to become a Microsoft standard.

Be proud, be outspoken but be respectful, and most of all try to make some sense ok??? Times are changing, there are lots of people going Mac this days that don't share the same old school "respect" so lets take apple for what it is, a great alternative to everything MS, unlss you are just a commoner that uses a two thousand dollars computer to check hotmail and still manages to get his three brain cells together to complain about al mac for nothing.

Real hardcore users push for upgrades, ********, ***** converted users push for USB plugs, get the idea???

Error when posting comments by green plus icon

Anyone try posting a comment to something on the new App yet? By tapping the GREEN PLUS symbol?

I keep getting an error every single time.

Is this a bug?

I have deleted and reinstalled and it still happens.

Thanks!
